Updating delay information for CWO
This page allows you to enter the details of delay that occurred during the execution of component work order or tasks associated to it. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Delays” link at the bottom of the main page.
The “Edit Delay Information” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following details in the “CWO Details” group box:
Comp. Work Order # |
The component work order for which the delay information must be updated. |
CWO Description |
The textual description of the component work order. Help facility available. |
Enter the following field:
Task # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the task for which the delay information must be updated. The system lists task(s) that are selected in the main page or the tasks associated to the component work order. The system displays the number as a combination of the task number and sequence number. |
Leave this field blank to update the delay information with respect to the component work order displayed in the “CWO Details” group box. |
The system displays the following details:
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. Zoom facility available. |
Part # |
The part number to which the component belongs. |
Part Serial # |
The serial number of the component against which the component work order is raised. |
Work Center # |
The number identifying the work center which could be one of the following: |

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the delay information that has already been defined for the selected task.
The system displays the following fields in the “Delay Details” multiline if the delay details have already been defined.
Enter the following fields in the “Delay Details” multiline to specify the delay details.
Work Delay # |
The code identifying the reason due to which the maintenance work is delayed (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory. Ensure that the work delay code is already defined in the “Create Work Delay Codes” activity of the “Component Work Reporting” business component and is in “Active” status. |

Delay Description |
The textual description of the work delay. |
Enter the following fields:
From Date |
The date on which the delay was reported (Date Format). |
From Time |
The time at which the delay was reported (Time Format). If no start time is specified for the delay, the system automatically assigns “0.00” as the start time of the delay. |
To Date |
The date till which the delay persisted (Date Format). |
To Time |
The time till which the delay persisted (Time Format). If no end time is specified for the delay, the system automatically assigns “0.00” as the end time of the delay. |
Note: Ensure that the values entered in the “From Date” and “From Time” fields is not later than the values entered in the “To Date” and “To Time” fields.
Time Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the time unit for the duration of the delay. The system lists the options “Minutes”, “Hours” and “Days” and sets the field to “Hours” by default. |
Duration |
The duration of the delay (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive. If you have specified the start and end dates ensure that the duration entered is not greater than the difference between the start date and time and end date and time. |
Note: It would suffice if you enter either dates or duration for the delay. If you leave the “Duration” field blank, the system calculates the difference between the "To" date and time and "From" date and time and displays it as actual duration on clicking the “Update Delays” pushbutton.

Updating delay information for CWO – An overview
Delays may occur during the execution of component work order or tasks, affecting the work progress. A "Scheduled" CWO may be rescheduled, whenever such a delay occurs. This page allows you to record the reasons for delay in the maintenance work. For a “Scheduled” CWO that is not yet started, you can specify the reason for rescheduling in this page. For component work orders that are in the “In Progress” status, you can specify the delay reasons, if any, in this page.
