The system creates an error record in the Error log under the following circumstances,
The installed part or component is not defined in the Part Administration component.
The Status of the part or component is set to “Inactive” in the Part Administration component.
The installed part is not valid for the installed component.
The installed serial # is not valid for the installed part.
The installed part # and serial # combination is not valid for the installed component
The installed part # and serial # combination is not valid for the position code in the installed component
Note: The system does not append an error record to an Error log, if a similar error record already exists in the log.
Subsequently, the system sets the Status of the Error record to “Pending” and the Error ID to an unique sequential number. The system updates the Status of the error record to “Closed” when a similar error is not generated or invalid data is successfully rectified in the "Edit CR" pushbutton in the Edit CR Details page.
