Basics of using a typical web page

This activity allows you to update the configuration details for an aircraft or component. This activity also allows you to build the component and aircraft configuration for new components. You can also modify the configuration details for existing components, after removal or replacement transactions.

You cannot update the configuration details for an aircraft/component under the following circumstances:

  1. If the record status of the aircraft is “Frozen”.

  2. If the component is attached to an aircraft with “Frozen” record status.

Note: The configuration details of only the latest revision of the aircraft/component are retrieved in this activity, regardless of the configuration status. You can modify/update these details, if required.

The initialize and update configuration page can be invoked from “Add Inspection Information” activity of ”Goods Receipt” business component, for all the parts for which the component ID is generated and have been accepted into the inventory. Once the component ID is generated, the details are updated in the ”Aircraft” business component, and for the newly-generated component ID, the configuration details can be built using this page.

This page can also be invoked from “Edit Component Record” page of ”Aircraft” business component, for removal, attachment or replacement of the component. A component replacement number is generated for each removal, attachment or replacement of the component.
