Selecting component replacement for reversal
This page allows you to search and select the component replacement transaction that you need to reverse. Tell me more.
Select the “Reverse Component Replacement” link under the “Component Replacement” business component.
The “Select Component Replacement #” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the component replacement transaction number for which the details are to be reversed:

The component replacement transaction number for which you need to reverse the transaction (Alphanumeric,40). |
Select the “Reverse Component Replacement Transaction” link displayed alongside, to reverse the component replacement transaction.
To search for the component replacement transaction
Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a component replacement transaction. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

The component replacement transaction for which you need to reverse the transaction (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component replacement transaction numbers that are similar to the value entered here. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the component replacement transaction. The system lists “Removed", "Replaced" and “Installation Reversal” as options. The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions that are in the status specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of the component replacement transaction irrespective of their status. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft registration number for which you need to reverse the component replacement transaction (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions for the aircraft whose registration numbers are similar to the value entered here. |
Position Code |
The position code for which you need to reverse the component replacement transaction (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions for the part whose position codes are similar to the value entered here. |
Removed Part # |
The part number for which you need to reverse the component replacement transaction (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions for the part whose numbers are similar to the value entered here. |
Removed Serial # |
The serial number of the part for which you need to reverse the component replacement transaction (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions generated for the serial numbers that are similar to the value entered here. |
Part Description |
The description of the part for which you need to reverse the component replacement transaction (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions generated for the part whose descriptions are similar to the value entered here. |
Component # |
The component number for which you need to reverse the component replacement transaction (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions generated for the component numbers that are similar to the values entered here. |
Removal From Date |
The starting date in the range of dates in which the component removal date falls (Date Format). The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions from the specified removal date till the current server date. |
Removal To Date |
The ending date in the range of dates in which the component removal date falls (Date Format). The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions till the specified removal date. |
Note” Ensure the “Removal From Date” is less than the “Removal To Date”.
Installation From Date |
The starting date in the range of dates in which the component installation date falls (Date Format). The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions from the specified installation date till the current server date. |
Installation To Date |
The ending date in the range of dates in which the component installation date falls (Date Format). The system retrieves all the component replacement transactions till the specified installation date. |
Note” Ensure the “Installation From Date” is less than the “Installation To Date”.
Note: Leave all the fields blank, to retrieve all the component replacements in the descending order of the removal date.
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the component replacement transaction.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

The date on which the part was removed from the position code. |

The date on which the new part is installed in the position code. |

Selecting component replacement transaction for reversal – An overview
You can search and select the component replacement transaction that you need to reverse. If you know the component replacement transaction number to be reversed, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the component replacement transaction number, its status, aircraft registration number, position code, removed part number, serial number, part description, part removal or installation date. The details of the selected component replacement transaction, such as the number, status, position code, component ID, removed part, serial number, part description, part removal and installation date are displayed.
