In this page you can record the action that has been performed against the removed component. You can indicate whether the component can be serviced when the aircraft is on the ground. You can also specify the work center in which the component has to be serviced. And the date on which the component is shipped to shop for servicing and date on which the component has to be returned can be specified.

The “Propose Action Against Removed Component” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date &Time Format

The format in which the date and time  fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following:

Component Replacement #

The component replacement transaction number for which the details are displayed.

Status

The status of the component replacement transaction, which could be one of the following:

  • Removed - When the component removal details are confirmed.

  • Replaced - When the component replacement details are confirmed.

  • Inst. Reversal - When the component replacement details are reversed.

Station #

The station where the component replacement was done or must be carried out.

The system displays the following in the “Removed Component Details” group box:

Part #

The part that has been removed.

Serial #

The serial number of the part that has been removed.

Component #

The component ID of the removed part and serial number.

Part Description

The textual description of the removed part.

Removal Date

The date on which the part was removed from the position code.

Removal Time

The time at which the part was removed from the position code.

The system displays the following in the “Instaled Component Details” group box:

Installed Component #

The component ID identifying the installed part number and the serial number combination.

Source of Installed Comp

The source of the installed component. The system displays one of the following:

  • Inventory - Indicates the installed component is taken from the inventory.

  • Cannibalization - Indicates the installed component is taken from some other aircraft.

  • Swap - Indicates the installed component has been swapped between the current aircraft and some other aircraft.

  • Others - Indicates the installed component is taken from anywhere else.

Source Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft from which the installed component is taken,  if the source of the installed component is “cannibalization”.

Source Component Replacement #

The component replacement transaction number generated for removal of installed component from the aircraft.

Process Action

Use the drop-down list box to specify the action to be performed on the removed component. The system displays the following option: “Overhaul”, “Inspection”, “Repair”, “Discard”, “Rework”, “Back to Owner”. The system leaves the field blank by default.

A.O.G.

Check this box to indicate whether the component can be serviced when the aircraft is on the ground.

Priority

Use the drop-down list box to specify the priority. The system lists all the priorities defined in the “Create Priority Numbers” activity of the “Common Master” business component. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Move to Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to specify the work center or place in which the component has to be serviced. The system lists the work centers defined in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component.

Expected Return Date

The expected date on which the component must be returned (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered here must be in the format specified in the “Date Format” field and must be greater than or equal to the removal date and current system date.

Note: You should leave the following fields blank, if component work order exist: “Process Action”, “Expected Return Date”, “Move To Work Center”, “Priority”.

Shipment Date

The date on which the component is shipped to the shop.

Remarks

Any additional remarks or comments regarding the proposed action on the component.

The system displays the following in the “CWO Details” group box:    

Comp. Work Order #

The CWO number for which the details are displayed.

CWO Status

The status of the CWO which could be one of the following:

  • Fresh – When the component work order is created.

  • Scheduled – When the component work order is scheduled.

  • In-Progress – When the execution of the component work order is in progress.

  • Completed – When the execution of the component work order is completed.

  • Closed – When the component work order is closed.

  • Cancelled – When the component work order is cancelled.

Maintenance Work Center #

The work center that is responsible for component work order execution.

Planned Start Date

The date at which the component work order execution is scheduled to be started.

Planned End Date

The date at which the component work order execution is scheduled to be completed.

Actual Start Date

The actual date at which the component work order was started.

Actual End Date

The actual date at which the component work order execution was completed.

Comments

Any additional remarks or comments pertaining to the component work order which is created against the CR number.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created by

The name of the user who recorded the proposed action.

Created Date

The date on which the proposed action was created.

Last Modified by

The name of the user who last modified the proposed action.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the proposed action was last modified.
