Selecting work scope for viewing details
This page allows you to select the work scope for viewing its details.
Select the "View Work Scope Details" link under the "Component Maintenance Planning" business component.
The "Select Work Scope" page appears.
Enter the following in the "Direct Entry" group box:
Work Scope # |
The number identifying the work scope for which you wish to view the details (Alphanumeric, 18) |
Select the "View Work Scope Details" link provided alongside, to view the work scope details.
To search for a work scope
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a work scope. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

The number identifying the work scope for which you wish to view the details (Alphanumeric, 18). |
You can enter the work scope number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the work scope. The system lists the following options:
The system retrieves the entire work scope of the status specified here. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Part # |
The part number to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers created for the part number entered here. |
Serial # |
The serial number for which the work scope is created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the serial number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers created for the serial number entered here. |
Component # |
The component number for which the work scope is created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the component number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers created for the component number entered here. |
Work Scope Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user-defined category to which the work scope belongs. The system lists all the 'active' work scope categories created in the "Create Quick Codes" activity. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers of the category specified here. |
Execution Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the execution unit in which the work scope will be executed. The system lists all the organization units where the component maintenance planning can be done and the component work orders can be created. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers generated on the execution unit specified here. |
Primary Work Center # |
The number identifying the primary work center responsible for work scope execution (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the primary work center number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers with the primary work center number entered here |
Planner Group |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the number of the planner group with which the component is associated . The system lists all the planner groups that are defined in the login organizational unit and mapped to the login user. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve all the work scope numbers that are created by the planner group specified here. |
Priority |
Use the drop-down list box to select the priority for the work scope. The system lists all the ‘active’ priority descriptions defined in the “Create Priority Numbers” activity of the “Common Master” business component. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Customer # |
The code identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 18). Enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers that are created for the customer number entered here. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer (Alphanumeric, 40). Enter the name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers that are created for the customer name entered here. |
Click the "Search" pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the "Search Results" multiline:

The priority assigned to the work scope. |
Status |
The status of the work scope, which could be "Fresh", "Released", “Partially Released”, “Closed” or “Canceled”. |
Work Scope Category |
The category to which the work scope belongs. |
Component # |
The component for which the work scope is created. |
Planner Group |
The planner group to which the component is associated. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer. |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer. |
