Help on planning objects

This page allows you to retrieve the details of planning objects that have to be mapped to the planner group. You can carry out a search using the part number, description, component number, component type, component family number and ATA chapter number.
Details such as the planning object number, description and remarks about the planning object will be displayed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Planning Object #” field in the main screen.
The “Help on Planning Object #” page appears.
The system displays the following information in the “Planning Object Details” group box:

Planning Object Type |
The type of planning object, which can be Part #, ATA #, Component # or the Component family #. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a planning object. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Part # |
The number identifying the part that has to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). The system retrieves details of parts with numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |

Part Description |
The textual description of the part that has to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 150). The system retrieves details of parts with description that match the description entered here. |

Component # |
The number identifying the component that has to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 90). The system retrieves details of components with numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |

Component Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of component that has to be retrieved. The system retrieves details of components that belong to the type selected here. |

Component Family # |
The number identifying the component family that has to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 25). The system retrieves details of components that belong to the family numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |

ATA # |
The number identifying the ATA chapter that has to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 16). The system retrieves details of components that belong to the ATA chapter that are similar to the number entered here. |
Click the "Search" pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the "Search Results" multiline:

Planning Object # |
The number of the part or component that has been retrieved. |
|
Description |
The textual description of the part of component that has been retrieved. |
|
Remarks |
Any additional remarks about the part or component number. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the planning object.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
