Work units in “EO” and “FCD” in “Released” status, and with “Create Flag” in selected condition.
Note: If restoration work units are not defined for the components that are forecasted for removal, the system retrieves the component number alone without any work units.
Note: The system does not retrieve the work units that are pending after the scheduled date on which the component removal is scheduled.
The system displays the following details in the “Unassigned Work Unit Details” multiline:

The system displays “Yes” or “No”.
Note :If the parent part number of the component is identified in the component maintenance program, then the system identifies the position in which the part is fitted and checks for any component attached to the position. If the component, for which the maintenance arising is forecasted, is fitted to that position, the system displays “No” in the above field. Otherwise, the system displays “Yes”.
Opport. Maint.? |
Indicates whether the work unit pertains to the opportunity maintenance performed on the component or not. |

Appends all the work units selected in the multiline to the visit package.
Updates the status of the work units to “Allocated” from “Pending”.
If the system parameter "Allocation Revision Method for Component Work Units " is set as “Direct”, then the work units should be added to the visit package.
If the system parameter "Allocation Revision Method for Component Work Units " is set as "Modification Log", then the addition of new work units must happen through the "Modification Log".
If the “Removal Status” of the work units of component removal jobs is “Pending”, the system checks whether the part to be removed is attached to the aircraft in the “Configuration” business component. On allocation of work units to visit package, if the part has not been removed, then the “Removal Status” is updated from “Pending” to “Allocated”. If the part has been removed, then the “Removal Status” is updated from “Pending” to “Removed”.
Ensures that the work center selected in the header is capable of executing the work units, if the “Work Center Capability Check” drop-down list box is set as “Required” This need not be mentioned
When the work unit is assigned to the existing visit package, the system copies the planned start date and the end date for the work unit from the “Compliance Tracking & Control” business component. For the tasks inside the Work Unit, If dates are planned in “Compliance Tracking & Control” business component, the system copies the same as planned start date and end date for the tasks. If dates are not planned, then the system copies it from the parent work unit to the individual task and calculates the planned end date using the following formula:
Planned End Date = Planned Start Date + Est. Elapsed Time
To proceed, carry out the following
Click the “Set Advanced Search Criteria” link provided at the bottom of the page to set advanced search criteria for retrieving work units.
Allocating components to aircraft visit package – An overview
After the work scope is finalized for the component, the planner allocates the component removals and on-wing inspections to the “Visit Package”. A visit package is an aggregation of all the maintenance activities that needs to be accomplished during the visit of an aircraft to the maintenance execution facility. This page allows you to allocate pending jobs to the visit package that needs to be executed on the components.
For the aircraft selected in the previous page, you can define the allocation of work unit details. You can carry out a search criteria to retrieve the pending work units that must be performed on the component. The work units can belong to any one of the job sources:
On–Wing Jobs The work unit is of the job type “On-wing” tasks.
Component Removals The work unit is of the job type “Component Removal”.
EO / FCD Work Units The work unit is a part of the work scope defined in an engineering order or a fleet campaign directive.
Deferred Work Units The work unit is deferred from execution.
Opportunity Checks The work unit forms a part of the opportunity checks to be carried out on the component.
The system displays the pending work unit details recorded for the component in the respective business components according to the job source. You can select the work units and assign them an existing visit package, which is not in the "Closed" or "Canceled" status and whose visit type is “Planned”. The status of the work units is changed from “Pending” to “Allocated” on updating.
