Viewing usage-based schedule for a work unit
In this page you can view the usage-based schedules for the work unit. These schedules are dependent on the usage of the component and are based on the consumption parameters of the component. The schedule for the next performance of a work unit will be specified in terms of the value for the consumption parameter.
Select the “View Usage Based Schedule” link at the bottom of the “View Part Program Information” page.
The “View Usage Based Schedule Information” page appears.
Note: This page will be invoked only if “Shelf Life Expiry” flag is set to “No” in the “Edit Work Unit Information In Programs” page.
The system displays the following fields in the “Part Details” group box:
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the usage-based schedule must be viewed. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Maintenance Process |
The maintenance process of the part, which could be “Hard-Time”, “On-Condition” or “Condition Monitoring”. |
Program Status |
The status of the part maintenance program, which could be “Fresh” or “Authorized”. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the part maintenance program. |
Enter the following in the “Maintenance Activity Details” group box:
Work Unit # |
The work unit for which the usage-based schedule must be viewed. The system lists all the work units defined for the part maintenance program except those with Program Item Type - Perpetual and As Required; prefixes them with “TSK”, “SP” or “WP” based on the type of the work unit. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the usage-based schedule details for the work unit specified here.
The system displays the following when you click the “Get Details” pushbutton:
Work Unit Description |
The textual description of the task, standard procedure or work package. |
Maintenance Type |
The type of the maintenance activity to be carried out “Overhaul”, “Repair”, “Inspection”, “Others” etc. |
Work Center # |
The number identifying the work center where the work unit has to be performed. |
Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center. |
The system displays the following in the “Usage Based Schedule Details” multiline:
Parameter |
A number that identifies the consumption parameter in the aircraft or its component. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the parameter. |
Schedule Type |
The usage-based schedule, which could be “One-Time” or “Recurring” basis. |
Threshold |
The number of days, weeks, months or hours after which the work unit has to be performed (Decimal). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “Schedule Type” is set as “Fixed-Date”. Ensure that the number entered in this field is positive |
Interval |
The interval after which the work unit for the consumption parameter is to be repeated. |
Alert Value |
The value or date before the arising of the work unit when an alert needs to be given on the impending work unit (Decimal). Ensure that the number entered in this field is positive |
Positive Tolerance |
The upper limit within which the work unit is to be performed. |
Negative Tolerance |
The lower limit within which the work unit is to be performed. |
Terminating value |
The number of days after which the maintenance activity need not be performed on a part. |

Any comments or supplementary information on the maintenance program planned for the part. Note: Clicking the |
Note: The system displays the parameter values in the multiline based on the option “Decimal Format” or “HHMM Format” selected for the parameter in “Time Display Option” drop-down list box in the “Aircraft” business component while parameter creation. For e.g. If the Time Display Option is selected as “HHMM Format” and the value stored is 2.50 in the data base, the system displays 2.30 in the multiline.
