Help on work units in component maintenance program
This page allows you to retrieve the details of the work unit that are already defined. You can carry out the search using the work unit type, organization unit name, work unit number and work unit description. The system displays details such as work unit number, type, description and the organization unit details.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Work Unit #” field in the main page.
The “Help on Work Unit” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a work unit. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Work Unit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work unit, which could be “Task”, “Standard Procedure” or “Work Package”. The system retrieves all the work units that are of the type specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of all the work units irrespective of their type. The system sets the field as “Task” by default. |
Org. Unit Name |
Use the drop-down list box to select the name of the organization unit to which the work unit to be retrieved belongs. The system displays the organization unit to which you have logged into by default. |
Work Unit # |
The number identifying the work unit for which the details are to be viewed. You can enter the number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work units that are similar to the value entered here (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Work Unit Desc |
The textual description of the work unit to be viewed in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the work units whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |
Click the “Search” button to display the search results.
The system fills in the following fields in the ”Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:
Work Unit Type |
The type of the work unit, which could be “Task”, “Standard Procedure” or “Work Package”. |
Work Unit # |
The task, standard procedure or work package number. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the work unit. |
Work Unit Desc |
The textual description of the work unit. |
Org. Unit Name |
The name of the organization unit to which the work unit belongs. |
Org. Unit # |
The number identifying the organization unit. |
Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the maintenance program.
Click the “OK” button.
