In this, page you can identify the work unit that has to be performed while removing or attaching the part to the position code in the aircraft. Tell me more.

The “Maintain Restoration Work Unit Information” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date field gets displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Part #

The part for which the details are to be defined (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the part numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Part Description

The textual description of the part for which the details are to be defined (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts whose description is similar to the description entered here.

Work Unit Type

Use the drop-down list to select the type of the work unit, which could be “Task” or “Non Routine”. The system retrieves all the parts that have the restoration work unit of the type selected here. Leave this field blank to search for a part irrespective of the work unit type.

Work Unit #

The number identifying the task or standard procedure (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts that have the restoration work units whose number is similar to the number entered here.

ATA #

The ATA chapter to which the part belongs (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the ATA chapter number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts whose ATA chapter numbers are similar to the value entered here.

Note: The system retrieves the “Active” parts along with details of restoration work units identified for each part. The system will not retrieve those parts for which restoration work units have not been defined..

Part #

The number identifying the part for which the restoration work units has to be defined (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. Ensure that the part has already been defined in the “Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. The part type must be “Component” and the status must be “Active”. The part number must be unique to the multiline.

Work Unit Type

Use the drop-down list to select the type of the work unit, which could be “Task” or “Non Routine”.  The system displays “Task” by default.

Work Unit #

The number identifying the task or standard procedure that has to be performed to remove or attach the part (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. The work unit number must pertain to a valid task or standard procedure defined in the “Create Task” and “Create Standard Procedure” activity respectively of the “Maintenance task” business component and must be in the “Active” status.

The work unit should be applicable for the part number, as specified in the “Maintenance Task” business component.

Comments

Any general comments or remarks regarding the association of the work unit with the part (Alphanumeric, 255).

The system displays the following:

Maint. Operator #

The code identifying the maintenance operator.

Note: The system retrieves the ‘Maint. Operator #’ of the corresponding Task # as defined in the “Manage Task Effectivity” screen of the current business component.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

ATA #

The ATA chapter to which the part belongs.

Work Unit Desc

The textual description of the work unit.

AMM/CMM Item #

The AMM / CMM item number given in the respective manuals with the reference document details for the work unit.

Incoming Part Estimated?

Indicates whether or not the material estimates for the work unit includes the estimate for the incoming part also. The system displays “Yes” if the Part # or any of its alternate / base part #s have been included in the material estimates. The system displays either “Yes” or “No”.

Last Update

The date on which the restoration work unit details were last updated.

Updated By

The name of the user who updated the restoration work unit details.

Note: Ensure that at least one restoration work unit is entered in the multiline.

If the process parameter “Manage Maintenance Program based on Maint. Operator code?” under Entity Type ‘Maint. Program and Forecasting Options’ in the “Define Process Entities” screen of the “Common Master” business component is set as ‘1’(Required) and multiple Work Units of Work Unit Type 'Task' is available for the same Part # and if the tasks have different Maint. Operator #, then the system updates multiple tasks for the same part #.
