In this page you can specify the work unit for which the details are to be modified. Tell me more.

The “Select Work Unit #” page appears.

Work Unit #

The number identifying the work unit, to be edited in the programs. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work units whose numbers are the similar to the one entered here.

Work Unit Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work unit, which could be “Task” and “Non Routine”. The options displayed in the drop-down list are based on the “Multilevel Work Breakdown Structure” in the Set Options activity of the Common Masters component. If this option is set to “Required”, the list displays “Task” and “Non Routine”. However, Task will be the only as well as the default work unit type available, if the “Multilevel Work Breakdown Structure” is set to “Not Required”.

Work Unit Desc

Enter the description of the work unit in full or enter it partially using “*” character. The system retrieves the work units whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria specified:

Work Unit #

The type of the work unit, which could be “Task” or  “Non Routine”.

Revision #

The revision number of the task, standard procedure or work package.

Work Unit Desc

Selecting work unit for modification - An overview

Update Work Unit into Programs - A summary of the activity

In this activity you can add, modify or delete the work units that are included in the part program or Component Maintenance Program (CMP). This facility has been provided for situations in which a particular work unit has to be added or removed or its schedule modified across component maintenance programs or part programs.

You can select a work unit from the Select Work unit # page. The details of the work unit selected can be added, deleted or modified in the part program or component maintenance program. The system generates an updation # for the work units that are added, deleted or modified.
