Modifying part category mapping of a buyer group
This page allows you to modify the part categories that are mapped to a buyer group. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Part Category Mapping” link in the “Edit Buyer Group” page.
The “Edit Part Category Mapping” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed, in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following details in the "Buyer Group" group box:

The buyer group selected in the “Select Buyer Group” page. |
Description |
The textual description of the buyer group. |
The system displays the following field in the “Map Route” multiline:
Part Category |
The part categories that can be procured by a buyer group. The system displays all the part categories that are defined in the “Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component and are in the “active” status. |
Modify the following field, if required:
Map ? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether to map the part category to the buyer group or not. The system displays the options, “Yes” and “No”. Select “Yes”, if you want to map the part category to the buyer group and “No” if you do not want to map the part category. The system sets the field blank by default. |
Note: Ensure at least one part category is mapped to the buyer group.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the part category for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected part category.
Click the “Edit Part Category Mapping” pushbutton, to save the modifications.
The system updates the modifications and sets the login user name to the “Last Modified By” field and the current server date to the “Last Modified Date” field.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The name of the user who created the buyer group. |

The date, in the specified date format, on which the buyer group was created. |
Last Modified by |
The name of the user who last modified the buyer group. |
Last Modified Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the buyer group was last modified. |
Modifying part category mapping of a buyer group – An overview
This page allows you to modify the part categories that are mapped to a buyer group. You can specify the buyer group for which you need to modify the part categories mapping. The system displays the part categories that are already defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. You can select part categories and map it to the specified buyer group.
You can map new part categories to the buyer group or remove an existing part category mapping. The system updates the modified details of the buyer group and stores the name of the user who last modified the part category mapping and the current server date as the last modified date.

You can modify part categories mapping, which are defined in the “Create Buyer Group” activity.
Set the Map?” field in the multiline to “Yes”, if you wish to map the corresponding part category to the selected buyer group.
Set the “Map?” field in the multiline to “No”, if you do not wish to map the part category to the selected buyer group.
Click the “Edit Part Category Mapping” pushbutton, to map the part categories to the selected buyer group.
The system maps the selected part categories to the buyer group.
