Select the “Edit Inspection Details” link at the bottom of the “Create BPO”, “Edit BPO” or “Amend BPO” page. Alternatively, you can select the link from the "Edit Terms and Conditions” or “Edit Allotment Details” page.
The “Edit Inspection Details” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. |
The system displays the following in the “BPO Details” group box:
BPO # |
The number identifying the BPO. |
BPO Amendment # |
The number identifying the amended BPO. |
BPO Type |
The type of the BPO, which could be “Rate”, “Value” or “Quantity”. |
Status |
The status of the BPO. |
Enter the following in the “Part Details” group box.
Line # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the BPO for which the inspection details must be entered. The system lists the BPO line numbers for which the “Quality Attribute” is set to “Standard” or “Custom”. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton, to retrieve the part details.
The system displays the following.
Part # |
The part number of the line number selected. |
Part Description |
The textual description pertaining to the part. |
Condition |
The condition of the part. |
Inspection Type |
The type of inspection to be done on the part, at the time of delivery. The inspection could be of type “Self”, “By Inspector” or “None”. |
Quality Attribute Check |
Indicated if the parts listed have to adhere to the attributes and their values specified. The system displays the values “Yes” and “No”. |
Quality Attribute |
The quality attribute associated to the part, which could be “Standard” “Custom” or “None”. |
The system displays the following in the “Attribute Details” multiline, from the “Part Administration” business component:
Attribute Code |
The code identifying the attribute. |
Attribute Type |
The type of the attribute, which could be “Qualitative” or “Quantitative”. |
Attribute Description |
The textual description of the attribute. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the attribute. |
Std. Min. Value |
The standard minimum value of the quality attribute, as defined in the “Part Administration “business component. |
Std. Max. Value |
The standard maximum value of the quality attribute, as defined in the “Part Administration “business component. |
Enter the following:
Standard Value |
The standard value of the quality attribute (Integer). |
Minimum Value |
The minimum value of the quality attribute (Integer). This field is applicable when the “Quality Attribute” is “Custom”. The User can enter fractions in this field, if fractional values are allowed in the “UOM Administration” business component. for this UOM. |
Note: The “Minimum Value” should be greater than or equal to the “Std. Min Value”. the “Standard Value” must lie between the “Minimum Value” and the “Maximum Value”.
Maximum Value |
The maximum value of the quality attribute of “Custom” type (Integer). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the quality attribute of the part is defined as “Custom”. The User can enter fractions in this field, if fractional values are allowed in the “UOM Administration” business component for this UOM.

Note: The “Maximum Value” should be less than or equal to the “Std. Max Value” and greater than “Minimum value.

Enter the following:
Trackable |
Use the drop-down list box to track the qualitative attribute during GR creation, which could be “Yes” or “No”. The system displays “Yes” by default. |

Any comments regarding the inspection of the BPO (Alphanumeric, 255). |
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The name of the user, who created the BPO. |
Created Date |
The date on which the BPO was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the BPO. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the BPO was last modified. |
Click the “Edit Inspection Details” pushbutton, to update the inspection details for the BPO.
Specifying the inspection details in a blanket purchase order – An overview
This page can be used to record the inspection details for the purchase of parts. The inspection of the part can be carried out by the buyer or by any other external resource.
This page allows you to view the inspection details, in a situation where the parts can be accepted only when they possess the certification on the quality and its attribute. Inspection is allowed only for blanket purchase orders for which the “Quality” is set to “Yes”. Quality attribute can be of type “Standard”, “Custom” or “None”. Inspection details can be recorded only for the “Standard” and “Custom” type of quality attribute.
On specifying the BPO line number, the system displays the part description and condition of the part. The system stores the login user ID and server date along with the modification details.

Different types of inspections are performed on the parts after receipt to verify the quality of the parts supplied. You can enter the inspection details for a specific line item of the BPO.
Use the “Line #” drop-down list box, to select the line number of the BPO for which inspection details must be entered.
Set the minimum and maximum value of the quality attribute of the BPO line item
You can set the minimum and the maximum value of the quality attribute of the selected BPO line item, if the quality attribute of the line item is of type “Custom”.
In the “Attribute Details” multiline,
Enter the minimum value of the “Custom” quality attribute in the ”Minimum Value” field.
Enter the maximum value of the “Custom” quality attribute in the ”Maximum Value” field.
You can track attributes for the line number of the part specified during the creation of goods receipt.
Set this field to “Yes” if you wish to track the attribute
Set this field to “No” if you do not want to track the attribute
