Select the “Part Level Ref. Cost” tab in the "Manage Ref. Cost for Part Condition" activity to specify the cost for a specific part, based on the condition of the part.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a part for which part level reference cost is defined:
Search On |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category based on which the search for a part is done. The system displays the following values: Part #, Mfr. Part #, Part Description, Part Type, Part Group, Part Category, and Part Classification.

Effective From Date |
Select the date from when the reference cost applicable for a part based on which the search is done. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to display the search results.
Enter the following field in the “Other Info” group box:
Effective From Date |
Select the date from when the percentile value of the standard cost for a part condition is applicable. The system displays the current date in the format as specified in the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Other Info” group box:
Base Currency |
The base currency of the login organization unit. |
Enter one or more of the following fields in the “Part Level Ref. Cost” multiline to specify the values for condition based costs:
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the user wants to specify the cost value based on condition of the part. Mandatory. |
Mfr. Part # |
The number given by the manufacturer of the part (Alphanumeric, 40). The manufacturer uses this number as reference. |
Mfr. # |
The code identifying the manufacturer of the part (Alphanumeric, 45). |
Select one or more records and click the “Get Default Cost” pushbutton to retrieve the following part details.
Standard Cost |
The cost of the part as defined in the “Create Quick Part” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. |
Part Desc |
The textual description defined for the part in the “Create Quick Part” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. |
Valuation Method |
The method in which the costing of the part is done at an inventory location. |
Adjust Actual Cost |
Indicates whether the actual cost is adjusted for a part based on certain condition as defined in the “Maintain Planning Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. |
Modify the following fields in the “Part Level Ref. Cost” multiline, which is computed by using the Percentage of Std cost for each condition as defined in the Standard % Basis” tab:
New |
The percentile value of the standard cost for the part when the condition is “New”. |
Overhauled |
The percentile value of the standard cost for the part when the condition is “Overhauled”. |
Serviceable |
The percentile value of the standard cost for the part when the condition is “Serviceable”. |
Unserviceable |
The percentile value of the standard cost for the part when the condition is “Unserviceable”. |
Phased Out |
The percentile value of the standard cost for the part when the condition is “Phased Out”. |
Select one or more records and click the “Save” pushbutton to save and display the following details.
Effective From Date |
The date and timestamp from when the percentile value of the standard cost for a part condition is applicable. |
Effective To Date |
The date and timestamp till when the percentile value of the standard cost for a part condition is applicable. |
Created By |
The name of the person who created the reference cost for a part condition. |
Created Date |
The date when the cost was created. |
Last Modified by |
The login ID of the employee who last modified the cost details. |
Last Modified Date |
The date when the reference cost was last modified. |
Select the “Standard % Basis” tab to specify the cost globally based on the condition of the part.
