Inheriting task revisions to packages
Select the “Inherit Task Revisions to Package” activity under the “Aircraft Maintenance Planning” business component.
The “Inherit Task Revisions to Package” page appears.
Enter the following fields to retrieve those tasks that have been revised since they were assigned to AME packages.

To retrieve packages comprising a specific task, enter the t ask #. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the tasks with # similar to the number entered here. Help facility available |

To retrieve packages comprising a task with a specific description, enter the description. You can enter description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the tasks with description similar to the text entered here. |

To retrieve tasks from a specific package, enter the AME Ref. #. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the tasks from the work packages with number similar to the number entered here. Help facility available |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the tasks in Draft/Fresh/Planned/In progress status from AME packages whose Package Assigned Date is equal to or earlier than New Revision Date of the task.
The multiline displays the following details of tasks from retrieved packages.

Task Description |
The description of the new revision of the task. |
Task Status |
The status of the assigned task, such as Draft, Fresh, Planned or In progress. |

The previous revision # of the task. This would actually be the revision of the task assigned to the package. |
New Revision # |
The new revision # of the task as found in Maintenance Task. |
Task New Rev. Date |
The date of creation of the new revision of the task. |
Select the packages that must inherit the new revision # task changes and then click the “Inherit Task Revision” pushbutton.
The system will carry forward the task revision changes to the selected packages. This implies the tasks in the packages will now reflect the changes from the latest Active revision of the task from the Maintenance Task business component.
The package will inherit the following from the revision changes:
Task Description
Long Description
The latest sub tasks and their resources and skills
However, the inheritance of changes from the new / latest revision of the task will not succeed under the following conditions:
The task / sub tasks has been partially / fully signed off
