Basics of using a typical web page

This page allows you to view the bank charges set for the company. You can retrieve the bank charges details by carrying out a search using the number identifying the bank reference. You can also search by specifying the type of the bank and the currency in which the bank charges have been set. The system retrieves the bank charges information based on the search criteria entered.

The “View Bank Charges” page appears.

Bank Reference

The number identifying the bank reference for which you want to view the bank charges (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory.

 

Help facility available.

 

Press <Enter> key.

 

The system retrieves and displays the bank reference name.

The system displays the following:

Bank Name

The name of the bank.

 

Zoom facility available.

Bank Account No.

The number identifying the bank account (Alphanumeric, 20).

Pay Mode

Use the drop-down list box to select the pay mode for which you want to retrieve the bank charges. You can select from “Check”, “Demand Draft”, “Direct Debit” or “Pay Order”. The system displays “Check” by default on launch of the page.

Bank Charges Type

Use the drop-down to select the type of bank charges. All the bank charges types that have been defined as quick codes in the “Quick Code Definition” business component will be available for selection.

Charge Currency

Use the drop-down list box to select the currency in which the bank charges have been created. All the currencies that have been created in the “Organization Setup” business component and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection in the alphabetical order. The system displays the base currency of the company by default on launch of the page.

Transaction Currency

Use the drop-down list box to select the transaction currency of the bank account for which you want to view the bank charges. All the currencies that have been created in the “Organization Setup” business component and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection in the alphabetical order. The system displays the base currency of the company by default on launch of the page.

The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Bank Charge Definition” multiline:

Amount From

The starting amount in the range of amounts for which the bank charges has been defined.

Amount To

The ending amount in the range of amounts for which bank charges has been defined.

Incremental Amount

The fixed incremental value based on which the DD charges will be calculated.

 

For example, if the incremental amount is 1000, then the DD charges is calculated on every incremental of Rs 1000.

Flat Charge

The flat rate, which is charged for the range of amounts or for every incremental amount.

Percentage

The fixed percentage which is charged for the range of amounts or for every incremental amount.

Minimum Charge

The minimum amount charged by the bank for any transaction.

Maximum Charge

The maximum amount to be charged by the bank.

Miscellaneous Charge

The miscellaneous amount charged by the bank.

Effective From

The date from which the bank charge definition is effective.

Effective To

The date till which the bank charge definition is effective.

Note: For example, if “Effective Date From” specified is 5 Jan 2001 and the immediate preceding record defined was effective from 2 Jan 2001, then “Effective Date To” for the previous record would be set as 4 Jan 2001. If the bank charges are created and modified on the same date, then the “Effective Date From” and the “Effective Date To” will be same day.
