Help on Work Center

Using this page, you can retrieve all the work centers that are not mapped to the login Organization unit. You can carry out a search based on work center number, work center type, work center category and work center description. Based on the search criteria specified, the system retrieves the details of the work centers which are in ‘Active’ status and of Work Center Class “Execution”.

Select the lens icon positioned next to the “Work Center” field on the main page.

The “Help on Work Center” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for an existing work center. Data entry is optional in the following fields:

Work Center #	The number identifying the work center to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or enter it partially using “*” character. The system displays all the work center numbers that are similar to the number entered here. You can leave the field blank to retrieve the work centers irrespective of the values entered.
Work Center Category	Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the work center. The system lists all the “Active” quick codes of the category type “Work Center”, as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. Leave this field blank to retrieve the work centers irrespective of the category.
Work Center Type	Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work center to be retrieved. The work center could be of type “Hangar”, “Bay”, “Shop”, “Line” or “Others”. Leave this field blank, to retrieve the work centers irrespective of the type.
Work Center Class	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the work center is set as execution work center or reference work center. The system lists the following values: Execution – Select this option to specify that the work center is set as an execution work center to which the components must be routed automatically for maintenance activity. Reference – Select this option to specify that the work center may be a virtual work center set as reference for the execution work center. Leave this field blank, to retrieve the work centers irrespective of the class.
Work Center Description	The textual description of the work center (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or enter it partially using “*” character. The system retrieves all the work centers that are similar to the description entered here. You can leave the field blank to retrieve the work centers irrespective of the description.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to view the search results.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Work Center #	The number identifying the work center.
Work Center Description	A textual description of the work center
Work Center Category	The category of the work center.
Work Center Type	The type of the work center, which could be "Hangar", "Bay", "Shop", "Line" or "Others".
Work Center Class	The work center class, which may be one of the following: Execution – Indicates that the work center is set as an execution work center to which the components must be routed automatically for maintenance activity. Reference - Indicates that the work center may be a virtual work center set as reference for the execution work center.
Org. Unit #	The number identifying the organization unit to which the work center is associated.
Org. Unit Name	The name of the organization unit to which the work center is associated.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the work center number.
Click the “OK” pushbutton to return to the main page.
