Help on Work Center

This page allows you to retrieve the details of the work center that is associated with the login organization unit. You can carry out a search based on the work center number, work center category, work center type and work center description. Based on the search criteria specified, the system retrieves the details of the work centers which are in ‘Active’ status and of Work Center Class “Execution”

Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Work Center #” field in the main screen.

The “Help on Work Center” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Work Center #	The number identifying the work center for which the details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or enter it partially using “*” character. The system displays all the work center numbers that are similar to the number entered here.
Work Center Category	Use the drop down list box to select the work center category. The system displays all quick codes that were defined during the “Create Quick Codes” activity, of type “Work center”.
Work Center Type	Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work center to be retrieved. The work center could be of type “Hangar”, “Bay”, “Shop”, “Line” or “Others”. Leave this field blank, to retrieve the work centers irrespective of the type.
Work Center Class	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the work center is set as execution work center or reference work center. The system lists the following values: Execution – Select this option to specify that the work center is set as an execution work center to which the components must be routed automatically for maintenance activity. Reference – Select this option to specify that the work center may be a virtual work center set as reference for the execution work center. Leave this field blank, to retrieve the work centers irrespective of the class.
Work Center Description	The textual description of the work center (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or enter it partially using “*” character.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Work Center #	The number identifying the work center.
Work Center Description	The textual description of the work center.
Work Center Category	The category to which the work center belongs.
Work Center Type	The type of the work center, which could be “Hangar”, “Bay”, "Shop", "Line" or “Others”.
Work Center Class	The work center class, which may be one of the following: Execution – Indicates that the work center is set as an execution work center to which the components must be routed automatically for maintenance activity. Reference - Indicates that the work center may be a virtual work center set as reference for the execution work center.
Org. Unit #	The code of the organizational unit in which the work center is created
Org. Unit Name	The name of the organizational unit.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the work center number.

Click the “OK” pushbutton.
