This page allows you to add child work centers. Tell me more.
Select the “Add Child Work Centers” link in the “Work Center Hierarchy Information” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked work center number in the multiline of the same page.
The “Add Child Work Centers” page appears.
The system displays the following in the Parent Work Center details group box:

The execution organizational unit to which you have logged in. |
Execution Org. Unit Desc |
The textual description of the login execution organizational unit. |
Parent Work Center # |
The work center for which you wish to add child work centers. |
Parent Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center for which you wish to add child work centers. |
Work Center Type |
The type of the work center which could be “Hangar”, “Bay” or “Others”. |
Enter the following field in the "Work Center Details" multiline:
Work Center # |
The number identifying the child work center that you wish to add in the hierarchy. Ensure that the work center belongs to the login organizational unit. |

Note: You can define work center hierarchy based on the pattern of work center type: Others-Hangar-Bay-Others. A Hangar work center can be a parent only for a Bay work center and a Bay work center can be a parent of work center of type “Others”.
The system displays the following field in the multiline:
Work Center Description |
The textual description of the child work center entered. The system fills this field after clicking the “Add Child Work Centers” pushbutton. |
Work Center Type |
The type of the work center which could be “Hangar”, “Bay” or “Others”. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the child work center for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to remove the work center selected in the multiline.
Click the “Add Child Work Centers” pushbutton to add the child work centers in the hierarchy.
Note: The system adds the child work centers to the parent work center and level numbers are also assigned to the newly added child work centers depending on their position in the hierarchy The “Work Center Description” field is filled in by the system in the multiline.
Adding child work centers – An overview
This page allows you to create a new work center hierarchy or modify the existing hierarchy by adding child work centers. You can enter the child work center number directly if you are aware of the exact number. You are also provided with a help facility to search for a particular work center. The system displays the work center description for the work centers you have entered and adds the child work centers in the hierarchy.
