Create Access Panel – A summary of the activity

This activity enables you to define access panels identified in the system. Access panels provide work area access for performing maintenance activities. Executing a maintenance activity may involve opening of one or more panels to access a component or the area inside the component. These are defined as ‘open’ and ‘close’ access panel tasks in the “Create Access Panel Task” activity, You can associate open and close access panel tasks to the access panel.

Open Access Panel task: - Open access panel task precedes the maintenance task to be performed. These tasks are performed to remove the required access panels for execution of the maintenance activity.

Close Access Panel task: - Close access panel task is performed after the maintenance task is performed.

A unique number identifies each access panel. You are provided with Help facility to view the details of the open and the close access panel tasks, before associating them to the access panel.
