This page allows you to view the details of the UOM available in the database. Tell me more
Select the “View UOM” link under the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component.
The “View UOM ” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the “User Preferences” business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for the UOM to be viewed. Data entry in the following fields in optional:
UOM Code |
The code identifying the UOM to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 10). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM codes that are similar to the value entered here. |
Status |
The status of the UOM to be viewed. Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the UOM. The system displays “Active” by default. |
Note: If this field is left blank, the system retrieves all the UOM details irrespective of their status.
UOM Description |
The description of the UOM to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 80). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM, whose descriptions are similar to the value, entered here. |
Note: Leave the fields blank if you want to retrieve all the UOMs defined in the “Central Reference List”. |

UOM Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the unit of measurement. The system lists all "active" values defined in the “Quick Code” for the quick code type "UOM Category" .The system displays “Blank” by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

The category of the unit of measurement. |
Fractions Allowed |
Indicates whether fractions can be entered for the UOM while recording transactions. |
Status |
The status of the UOM. It could be either “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Created by |
The login id of the user who created the UOM. |
Create Date |
The date on which the UOM was created. |
Last Modified by |
The login id of the user who modified the UOM details last. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the UOM was last modified. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select an UOM for which you want view the part independent conversion details.

Select the “View Part Independent Conversions” link from the bottom of the page to view the part independent conversion details.
Viewing UOM Information – An overview
This page allows you to view the details of the UOM available in the database. You can carry out a search by entering the UOM code, description and status. The system will retrieve all the UOMs, based on the status selected.
Details such as the description and status of the UOM are displayed along with the name of the user who created or modified the UOM, and the date on which the UOM was created or modified. The system indicates whether the UOM can be used with fractions in a transaction.
