Selecting work area for modification

This page allows you to select a work area to be modified and view its modification. If you know the work area number to be modified, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the work area number, its description or the status. The details of the selected work area, such as its number, description and the status are displayed.

Select the “Edit Work Area” link under the “Maintenance Task” business component.

The “Select Work Area” page appears.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the work area number for which the modification has to be done:

Aircraft Model #	Use the drop-down list box to select the aircraft model to which the work area is associated. The system lists all the “Active” aircraft models defined in the “Create Aircraft Model” activity of the “Aircraft” business component.
Work Area #	The work area for which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 15).

Select the “Edit Work Area Details” link at the bottom of the page to modify the work area information.

Search for work area

Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a work area. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Work Area #	The work area number for which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 15). You can enter the number in full or enter it partially. The system lists all the work area numbers that are similar to the values entered here.
Status	The status of the work area to be modified, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. The system lists all those work area numbers that are in the status specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of work areas irrespective of their status. The system leaves the field blank by default.
Aircraft Model #	The aircraft model to which the work area is associated (Alphanumeric, 20). The system lists the work areas with the aircraft model number entered here.
Work Area Description	The description of the work area to be modified (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or enter it partially. The system lists all the work area numbers whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.

Note: If all the fields are left blank, the system will list all the work area numbers that are defined:

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

Aircraft Model #	The aircraft model to which the work area is associated
Work Area #	The number identifying the work area.
Work Area Description	The textual description of the work area.
Status	The status of the work area, which could be ”Active” or “Inactive”.

Click the hyperlinked work area number in the multiline, to modify the work area details.
