This page  allows you to  add or modify the details of parts required for executing the task in this page. On specifying the part number, the system displays the part type and description and allows you to modify the unit of measurement and estimated quantity. The part details are updated and the system sets the last modified date to the current server date.

The “Edit Part Requirements” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Task Details” group box:

Task Applicability

Indicates whether the task is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”.

Base Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the base aircraft model on which the task can be performed

Task #

The task for which the part details have to be specified.

Revision #

The revision number of the task for which the part details have to be specified.

Task Description

The textual description of the task.

  • Enter the following field:

Update based on Actuals

Check this box if you wish to update the part details based on the actual details of parts consumed during execution of the task.

 

Part #

The part required for executing the task (Alphanumeric, 40). The part should have already been defined in the "Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. The part number should be unique within the multiline.

The system displays the following fields on clicking the “Edit Parts” pushbutton:

Part Description

The textual description of the part as defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

Part Type

The type of the part as defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

UOM

The unit of measurement for the part. The unit of measurement for the part (Alphanumeric, 10). The unit of measurement must be a valid UOM for the part defined in the “Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component or you can enter any valid UOM defined for the part in the “Maintain UOM Conversions” of “Part Administration” business component.

Est. Quantity

The quantity of part required to complete the task (Numeric). if the part is specified, data entry in this field is mandatory.

Need Frequency

Use the drop-down list box to select  any one of the following options:

  •  “Always” indicates the part is always required for executing the task

  •  “As Required” indicates the part will be required based on the necessity while executing the task

The system displays the value “Always” by default.

Remarks

Any remarks pertaining to the part requirements (Alphanumeric, 255).

Note: If no value is specified in the UOM column in the multiline, the system updates the corresponding stock UOM as the default UOM.

Note: In the case of modifying the part requirement details of a “Returned” task, the system changes the status of the task to “Fresh” status. The status log is also updated.
