Entering access panel information for the task
This page allow you to add access panels or modify the access panel details that have already been identified for the task. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Access Panel Details” link at the bottom of the main page.
The “Edit Access Panel Information” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Task Details” group box:
Task Applicability |
Indicates whether the task is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”. |
Task # |
The task for which the access panels have to be identified. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the task for which the access panels have to be identified. |

Enter the following field:
Aircraft Model # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the aircraft model to which the work area must be associated. The system lists all the aircraft models created in the “Create Aircraft Model” activity of the “Aircraft” business component. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton.
Enter the following fields in the “Access Panel Details” multiline:
Seq # |
The sequence in which the access panels have to be opened, before executing the maintenance task (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique in the multiline. For any random entry of sequence numbers, the system assigns continuous sequence numbers starting from “1”. |
Access Panel # |
The number identifying the access panel (Alphanumeric, 15). The access panel number should be unique within the multiline. |
Note: In the event of modifying the already associated access panel number, the system displays an error message. Also, to delete existing access panel details check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline and click the "Delete" pushbutton.
The system fills in the following field on clicking the “Edit Access Panel” pushbutton:

The zone to which the access panel is associated. |
Access Panel Description |
The description of the access panel number. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the access panel for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the access panels selected in the multiline.
If you wish to insert access panels in the access panel list and assign sequence number for them, Click the “Re - Number” pushbutton to rearrange the existing rows in the ascending order of the sequence number. The system regenerates the sequence number in multiples of five, thereby enabling you to specify the sequence number for the newly added access panel.
Click the “Edit Access Panel” pushbutton to update the access panel details for the task.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent and you can configure further processing of this document in the "Workflow Management" business component.
Note: In the case of modifying the access panel details of a “Returned” task, the system changes the status of the task to “Fresh” status. The status log is also updated.
Entering access panel information for the task – An overview
In this page, you can add access panels or modify the access panel details that have already been identified for the task.
Access panels provide work area access for performing the maintenance task. Executing a maintenance task may involve opening of one or more panels to access a component or the area inside the component. You can identify the access panels for the selected task and assign a sequence number for each of them. The access panel tasks will be executed based on the sequence in which the access panels are identified for the task.
The details of access panels specified for the task are updated by the system and the last modified date is set to the server date.
