This page allows you to modify the details of the selected DSC. Details such as the DSC description, name of the referenced document and its path, the dependent system and its desired condition can be modified. The system updates the details of the DSC and sets the “Last Modified Date” to the server date.
Select the “Edit DSC Details” link in the “Select Dependent System Condition” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked DSC number in the multiline of the same page.
The “Edit Dependent System Condition Information” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “DSC Details” group box:
DSC # |
The selected DSC number for which the details are to be modified. |
Enter the following fields to modify the DSC details:
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the DSC which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
DSC Description |
The textual description of the DSC. This field should not be left blank (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. Zoom facility available |
Enter the following fields in the “Dependent Systems Desired Condition Information” multiline:
Seq # |
The sequence in which the dependent system condition should be checked for, before executing a maintenance task (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique in the multiline. |
If you have left the sequence number blank, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in the order in which they are entered in the multiline, on clicking the “Modify DSC” pushbutton. Ensure that you do not leave it blank for any of the dependent systems occurring in between. For any random entry of sequence numbers, the system assigns continuous sequence numbers starting from "1". | |

Desired Condition |
The desired condition of the dependent system to be checked for, before executing a maintenance task (Alphanumeric, 15). |
Enter the following fields in the “Reference Document Details” group box below the multiline:

Click the" View File" link alongside to view the file details.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The name of the user who created the DSC. |

The date on which the DSC was created. |

The name of the user who modified the DSC. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the DSC was last modified. |
Enter the following field:

Any additional remarks pertaining to modifying the DSC. Typically, the reason for modifying the DSC can be entered here (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the dependent system for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the dependent condition selected in the multiline.
If you wish to insert dependent systems in the DSC list and assign sequence number for them, click the “Re - Number” pushbutton to rearrange the existing rows in the ascending order of the sequence number. The system regenerates the sequence number in multiples of five, thereby enabling you to specify the sequence number for the newly added dependent system.
Click the “Edit DSC” pushbutton to modify the details of the DSC.
Note: The system creates dependent system condition and generates the sequence numbers for those rows for which the sequence number has not been specified.

You have the option of entering the sequence number or generating the sequence number automatically for the various dependent systems in the multiline.
To enter the sequence number manually, enter the “Seq #” field in the “Sub Task” multiline.
To generate the sequence number automatically, leave the “Seq #” field blank in all the rows in the multiline.
The system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in the order in which they are entered in the multiline, on clicking the “Edit DSC” button.
If you wish to insert sub tasks in the multiline and assign sequence number for them, click the “Re-Number” pushbutton to rearrange the existing rows in the ascending order of the sequence number. The system regenerates the sequence number in multiples of five, thereby enabling you to specify the sequence number for the newly added sub tasks.
