Entering parts requirement for access panel task
This page allows you to add or modify the details of parts required for executing the access panel task. The details of the part number such as unit of measurement and quantity can be modified. The system updates the part details and sets the last modified date to the current server date.
Select the “Edit Parts Requirement” link at the bottom of the “Edit Access Panel Task Information” page.
The “Edit Part Requirements” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “Task Details” group box:

The applicability of the access panel task, which could be "Aircraft". | ||
Base Aircraft Model # |
The number identifying the base aircraft model on which the access panel task can be performed | ||
Task # |
The access panel task for which the part details are to be added or modified. | ||
Task Description |
The textual description of the access panel task. Zoom facility available. | ||

Note: On launching the page, the system displays the part details that are already associated to the access panel task.
Enter the following field in the “Part Details” multiline:
Part # |
The number identifying the part required for executing the access panel task. Data entry in this field is mandatory, if value is specified in either “UOM” or “Est. Quantity” field. Ensure that the part number specified here is in “Active” status and is defined in the "Create Part Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. The part number should be unique within the multiline (Alphanumeric, 40). |

Note: You cannot modify the existing record in the multiline.
The system displays the following:

The textual description of the part number. |
Part Type |
The type of the part. |
Enter the following fields:
UOM |
The unit of measurement for the part. The unit of measurement for the part (Alphanumeric, 10). The unit of measurement must be a valid UOM for the part defined in the “Create Part Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component or you can enter any UOM defined for the part in the “Maintain UOM Conversions” of “Part Administration” business component. If the part number is specified, data entry in this field is mandatory. |

Est. Quantity |
The required quantity of the part to carry out the access panel task. If the part is specified, data entry in this field is mandatory (Numeric). The value entered here must be positive. |
Note: Ensure that at least one record exists in the multiline.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the part details for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the parts selected in the multiline.
Click the "Edit Part Requirements" pushbutton to update part details.
Note: The system displays an error message, if any other concurrent user attempts to simultaneously modify the part details.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “View Part Information” link provided at the bottom of the page to view the part details.

You can indicate, whether the parts details has to be based on the actual details of parts consumed during the execution of access panel task.
Check the “Update Based on Actuals” box to update the parts with the actual parts consumed.
