Updating discrepancy details/marking discrepancies for reliability reporting
Select the “Analyze Discrepancy Details” link under the “Reliability Analysis” business component.
The “Analyze Discrepancy Details” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to find the discrepancy that you want to modify or include for reliability reporting:
Reliability Fleet # |
The identification number of the reliability fleet. By default, this field displays a reliability fleet, if a lone reliability fleet exists in the organization unit. This field remains blank if more than one reliability fleet exists in the organization unit. The multiline displays the discrepancies reported against all the aircraft in the reliability fleet. |
Maint. Object # |
Select the type of the maintenance object from the drop-down list box and specify the ID of the maintenance object in the field alongside. The drop-down list box displays the following: Model #, Aircraft Reg. #, Part #, Part #/Serial # and Component #. If you do not specify the ID of the maintenance object, the system displays all discrepancies associated with the maintenance object. For example, if you select Aircraft Reg. # from the drop-down list box and do not specify any aircraft, the system retrieves all the discrepancies reported against all the aircraft in the reliability fleet. |
Discrepancy # |
The identification number of the discrepancy. The multiline displays details of the discrepancy that you specify here. |
Description |
A brief description about the discrepancy. The multiline displays those discrepancies that have the description similar to the text you specify here. |
Discrepancy Type |
The type of the discrepancy. The system lists the following: MIREP and PIREP. The multiline displays the discrepancies of the type that you specify here. |
Discrepancy Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the discrepancy category. The list displays the values defined for the Attribute Type “Disc. Category” in the Common Masters component, which have an Active status. The multiline displays discrepancies classified under the category that you specify here. |
Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to select the object of the discrepancy. The list displays the following values: “Aircraft”, “Component” and “Engine”. The multiline displays the discrepancies associated with the maintenance object that you specify here. |
ATA # |
The identification number of the ATA. If you specify this field, the Reliability Fleet # field becomes mandatory, as the ATA hierarchy is specific to a reliability fleet. The multiline displays the discrepancies reported against the ATA for the reliability fleet, that you specify. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The identification number of the aircraft. The multiline displays the discrepancies reported against the aircraft. |
ATA # |
The identification number of the ATA. If you specify this field, the Reliability Fleet # field becomes mandatory, as the ATA hierarchy is specific to a reliability fleet. The multiline displays the discrepancies reported against the ATA for the specified reliability fleet. |
Recurring Disc.? |
Use the drop-down list to indicate whether the discrepancy occurs frequently. Select “Yes” to indicate the discrepancy is recurring in nature and “No”, if it occurs infrequently. The multiline displays the discrepancies with the Recurring Disc.? Set to “Yes” or “No” as you specify here. |
Reliability Analysis (Incl./ Excl.) |
Use the drop-down list to indicate whether the discrepancy was previously included for reliability analysis. The list displays the following values: Include and Exclude. Select “Include” to display discrepancies that have been already published in the reliability reports. Conversely to display discrepancies that have not yet been published in the reliability reports, select “Exclude”. |
Specify the following in the “Additional Search Criteria” group box to find the discrepancy you want to analyze/view.
Source Document Type |
The type of the reference document in which the discrepancy details are recorded. The list displays the following values: Journey Log, Technical Log, Line Package, Occurrence Report, Repair Order, Hangar Work Order, Visit Package, Component Work Order and Manual Compliance. The multiline displays the discrepancies with the source document type you select here. |
Source Document # |
The identification number of the reference document in which the discrepancy details are recorded. The multiline displays those discrepancies that are related to the document # you specify here. |
Owning Agency
|
The entity that owns the aircraft/(part) against which the discrepancies are reported. The list displays the following values: Customer, Owned, Leased and Leased Out. The multiline displays the discrepancies reported against parts owned by the owning agency that you specify here. |
Corrective Action |
The corrective action carried out for resolving the discrepancy. The multiline displays the discrepancies with corrective action similar to the text you specify her |
Reported Date From/To |
The start date and the end date of the period during which the discrepancy was recorded. The multiline displays the discrepancies reported during the period between the dates you specify here. |
Select the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The system retrieves all the discrepancies processed in the open periods since the start-date of the reliability analysis period. This report takes into account only the discrepancies with Status other than “No Fault Found”, “Fresh” and “Cancelled”.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline.
Discrepancy # |
The identification number of the discrepancy. |
Description |
The short description of the discrepancy. |
Enter the following.
New Description |
