Associating maintenance programs to the aircraft
This page enables you to associate maintenance programs to an aircraft. Tell me more.
Select the “Associate Maintenance Programs” link in the “Select Maintenance Program” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked aircraft in the multiline of the same page.
The “Associate Maintenance Programs to Aircraft” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Aircraft Details” group box:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft to which maintenance programs must be associated. |
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model to which the aircraft belongs. |
Model Description |
The description of the aircraft model. Zoom facility available |
Model Type |
The type of the aircraft model. |
Sub Fleet # |
The sub fleet to which the aircraft belongs. |
Customer # |
The customer number if the aircraft is customer owned. |
Enter the following fields in the “Maintenance Program Details” multiline:
Maintenance Program # |
The maintenance program to be associated to the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the maintenance program is already defined in the “Create Aircraft Main. Program” activity and in the “Fresh” or “Active” status. Note that only one of the maintenance programs associated with the aircraft can be in “Active” status. |
Help facility available. |
The system displays the following fields in clicking the “Associate Programs” pushbutton.
Revision # |
The revision number of the program, which is associated to the aircraft. |
Status |
The status of the specific revision of the program that is associated to the aircraft. |
Program Category |
The category to which the program belongs. |
Enter the following fields:
Association Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the association status of the program to the aircraft. The system provides the following options:
The system displays “Fresh” by default. |
The system displays the following fields on clicking the “Associate Programs” pushbutton.
Associated By |
The login ID of the user who associated the aircraft. |
Associated Date |
The date on which the aircraft was associated. |
Enter the following field:
Primary Program ? |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes” to set the program as the primary program for the aircraft. Otherwise, set the field to “No”. |
Note: You can set only one program as the primary program for the aircraft.
The system displays the following fields on clicking the “Associate Programs” pushbutton.
Program Desc |
The description of the program. |
Click the “Associate Programs” pushbutton to associate the maintenance programs to aircraft.
The system associates only the program that is in Active status to the aircraft and copies the work units defined for the program along with their schedules and all the resources defined for carrying out the program.
The system updates the next schedule date for the aircraft registration number as explained below:
Assume that the scheduled date for a work unit is 11-10-2003. If tolerance value is specified as +/-2 days, the Earliest schedule date for the work unit is 09.10.2003 and Latest schedule date for the work unit is 13.10.2003 (inclusive of 9.10.2003 and 13.10.2003) and the repeat interval is set as 20 days.
If the “Updation Basis” is selected as “Schedule”, and if the work unit was executed on 10.10.2003 (within the specified limits) then the next schedule date of the work unit is 31.10.2003 (The NSD for the work unit is based on a fixed interval of 20 days irrespective of when the work was executed (11.10.2003+ 20 days (Repeat Interval)).
If the “Updation Basis” is selected as “Actual Completion”, and if the work unit was executed on 09.10.2003 (within the specified limits) then the next schedule date of the work unit is 29.10.2003 (ie 09.10.2003+20 days (Repeat Interval)).
If the “Updation Basis” is selected as “Time Window”,
1. If the work unit was executed on 10.10.2003 (within the specified limits) then the next schedule date of the work unit is 30.10.2003. (10.10.2003+20days).
2. If the work unit was executed on 05.10.2003 (beyond the specified limits) then the next schedule date of the work unit is 25.10.2003 (05.10.2003+20days).
3. If both date based and usage based schedules are defined for the work unit then the “Sch.Exe Rule” (Values “Earliest” and “Latest”) identified for the work unit in the maintenance program will be considered.
Engineering document impact: If the maintenance program being associated to the aircraft has been modified with reference to an engineering document, upon authorization the ‘Program Updated?’ flag in the engineering document is set as ‘Yes’.
Check the box in the multiline to select the aircraft to modify the maintenance program for a specific aircraft.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Aircraft Specific Maint. Program” link at the bottom of the page to edit the program details.
Set the association status of the program to the aircraft
Set the association status of the program to the aircraft
Set the “Association Status” field to “Fresh” if you are associating the program to the aircraft for the first time.
Set the “Association Status” field to “Active” to activate the association.
Set the “Association Status” field to “Inactive” to inactivate the association.
Associating maintenance programs to the aircraft – An overview
This page enables you to associate maintenance programs to an aircraft. You can associate maintenance programs that are in a “Fresh” or “Active” status to the aircraft. You can set the status of the association of the program to the aircraft as “Fresh” when it is associated to the aircraft for the first time, “Active” to activate the association or “Inactive” to inactivate the association of the program to the aircraft. You can also set one of the programs to the aircraft as the primary program. Any changes in the work units that refer to engineering orders are reflected in the primary program.
Note that the system allows you to associate multiple aircraft maintenance programs to an aircraft. However, only one among these maintenance programs can be in “Active” status.
