Specifying the dependent work units for the maintenance program of an aircraft
This page allows you to add or modify the dependent work units that are specified for the maintenance program of an aircraft. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Dependent Work Units” link in the “Edit Aircraft Specific Maintenance Program” page.
The “Edit Dependent Work Units” page appears.
The system displays the following details in the “Aircraft Details” group box:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft that is associated to the program. |
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model to which the aircraft belongs. |
Sub Fleet # |
The sub fleet number to which the aircraft is a part of. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Maintenance Program Information” group box:
Maintenance Program # |
The maintenance program to which the aircraft is associated. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the maintenance program. The system retrieves the latest revision that is in the “Active” or “Fresh” status. |
Program Desc |
The description of the maintenance program. |
Zoom facility available |

Status |
The status of the maintenance program, which can be “Fresh” or “Return”. |
Enter the following field in the “Maintenance Program Information” group box:
Work Unit # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work unit for which the dependent work units can be re-defined. The system lists all the work units specified for the maintenance program along with the sequence numbers. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The system displays the following details:

The description of the work unit. |
Zoom facility available |

Work Unit Type |
The type of the work unit, which can be “Task”, “Standard Procedure”, “Aircraft Work Package” or “Component work Package”. |
Execution Type |
The execution type of the work unit, which can be “Major” or “Minor”. |
Job Type |
Indicates whether the work unit must be performed on the aircraft or on the components fitted to the aircraft. The system displays either “Aircraft” or “Onwing”. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Dependent Work Unit Details” multiline:

Indicates whether schedule information is defined for the work unit in the multiline. The system displays one of the following: |

Work Unit # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work unit which is dependent on the work unit selected in the “Work Unit #” field in the “Maintenance Program Information” group box. The system lists all the work units specified for the maintenance program in the “Create Maintenance Program” or the “Edit Maintenance Program” activities and for which the “Dependent Schedule” field has been set to “Yes”. |
Work Unit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the work unit, which could be “Task”, “Standard Procedure”, “Aircraft Work Package” or “Component Work Package”. The system sets the field to “Task” by default. |
The system displays the following field on clicking the “Edit Dependent Work units” pushbutton.

Click the “Edit Dependent Work Units” pushbutton.
Note: The system saves the maintenance program with the details of the dependent work units for the aircraft.
To proceed, carry out the following,
Select the “Edit Dependent Schedule Information” link at the bottom of the page to define schedules for the dependent work units.

Select the work unit for which the dependent work units must be specified in the “Work Unit #” field of the “Maintenance Program Information” group box.
Specify the dependent work units in the “Work Unit #” field in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Dependent Work Units” pushbutton.

This page allows you to add or modify the dependent work units that are specified for the maintenance program of an aircraft. Work packages, procedures and tasks that constitute a maintenance program can have a dependent schedule. The entities in the maintenance program having dependent schedule occur at a periodic interval depending on the occurrence of another entity.
