This activity provides the ability to manage Demand and Receipt pegging preference across Ownerships. (i.e. identify which customer stock can be issued to which customer) .   

Select the “Demand & Receipt pegging preference across ownership” activity under the “Stock Demand Management” business component.

The “Demand & Receipt pegging preference across ownership” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to fix the demand and receipt of the parts preference across owners:

Trading Partner Type/Trading Partner #

Use the drop-down list box to select the Trading Partner Type. The drop-down list box displays the following value:

  • Customer: Select this option to indicate that the trading partner is the Customer.

Enter the Trading Partner # in the adjacent input field to retrieve the demand & Receipt pegging preferences created for the specific Trading Partner.

The system leaves the field blank with Customer.

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the already fixed Demand and Receipt preference across ownership.

Enter the following fields in the “Demand & Receipt pegging preference” multiline:

Trading Partner Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the Trading Partner type which is  “Customer”.

Demand – Trading Partner #

The code identifying the Trading Partner # that requires the part.

Help Facility available.

Supply – Trading Partner #

The code identifying the Trading Partner # that supplies the requested part.

Help Facility available.

Order of preference

The priority wise numbering of the Supply-Trading partner.

Conversion Mode

Use the drop-down list box to select the Stock Status Conversion mode:

  • Direct: Select this option to indicate that the Stock Status and Owning Agency # of the part will be updated directly to other customer.

  • Through Internal: Select this option to indicate that the Stock Status and Owning Agency will be updated as ‘Ownership Internal’ during the initial Stock Status Conversion and then it is changed to Requested Customer

The system displays ‘Direct’ by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Demand &Receipt pegging preference” multiline:

Demand-Trading Partner Name

The name identifying the Trading Partner # that requires the part.

Supply-Trading Partner Name

The name identifying the Trading Partner # that supplies the requested part.

Enter the following fields in the “Demand & Receipt pegging preference” multiline:

Remarks

Any additional remarks entered.

The system displays the following fields in the “Demand &Receipt pegging preference” multiline:

Created By

The name of the user who created the document.

Created Date

The date on which the document was created.

Last Modified by

The name of the user who last modified the document.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the document was last modified.

Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the Demand & Receipt pegging preference across ownership.

To proceed, carry out the following:

Pre-requisite

4   The set option ‘Usage of other Customer stocks’ under the Category ‘Customer Part Usage’ must be set as “Allowed” in the Manage Additional Options screen of the Customer business component.

4   The set option is ‘Usage of other Customer Parts’ under the Category ‘Execution’ must be set as “Allowed” in the Part Handling Details tab of the Edit Terms of Execution screen in Sale Contract business component.
