Viewing task information for the MCR
This page allows you to view the details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the MCR. Tell me more
Select the “View Task Information” link at the bottom of the “View Maintenance Change Request” page.
The “View Task Information” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:
MCR # |
The number identifying the MCR for which the task information is displayed. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the MCR. |
Subject |
The textual description of the MCR. |
Source Doc Type |
The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs. |
Enter the following information:
Aircraft Model # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the model number of the aircraft that is applicable to the MCR. |
The system displays the following:
Applicability |
The applicability of the maintenance change request, which can be “aircraft”, “engine” or “component”. |
Enter the following field in the “Group Details” group box to select the applicability group for viewing the task details:
Applicability Group # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the group of aircraft, component or engine for which the MCR is applicable. The system lists the group numbers created in the “Aircraft Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Aircraft” or the group numbers defined in the “Component Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Component” or “Engine. Leave this field blank to view the task details with respect to the MCR and the revision number combination. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the task details of the applicability group.
The system displays the following fields in the “Task Details” multiline:
Task Classifier |
The classifier of the task. The system displays one of the following: |

The task that must be performed for the MCR execution. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the task. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. |
Time Unit |
The time unit for the time estimated to complete the task. The system displays “Hours”, “Minutes” or “Days”. |
Est. Elapsed Time |
The time estimated to complete the task. |
Est. Man Hrs |
The total man hours estimated to complete the task. |
Remarks |
Any remark pertaining to the task. |
Long Description |
The long description of the task |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the task.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “View Sub Tasks” link at the bottom of the page to view the sub task information for the selected task.
Select the “View Parts Provided by Operator” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of the parts provided by the operator for task execution.
Viewing task information for the MCR - An overview
To execute an MCR, you have to perform certain tasks and sub tasks. The details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the MCR can be viewed in this page. The task details can be viewed for a specific applicability group. Details such as whether the task is new or an existing task, task number, revision number of the task, task description, time unit, time estimated for task completion, total man hours estimated for task completion and remarks are displayed in the multiline.
