Viewing regulatory directive information
This page allows you to view the details of the directives issued by the regulatory authorities. Tell me more
Select the “View Regulatory Directive Details” link at the bottom of the “View Maintenance Change Request” page.
The “View Regulatory Directive Information” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:
MCR # |
The number identifying the MCR for which the regulatory directive details are displayed. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the MCR. |
Subject |
The textual description of the MCR. |
Source Doc Type |
The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Directive Details” multiline:
Register # |
The register number identifying the regulatory directive. |
Order # |
The executive order number mentioned in the regulatory directive. |
Docket # |
The docket number mentioned in the regulatory directive. |
Amendment # |
The amendment number mentioned in the regulatory directive. |
Reg. Implications |
The implications or the suggestions recommended in the regulatory directive regarding the MCR execution. |
Comments |
Any remark or comment pertaining to the regulatory directive. |
Billing Code |
The billing code number mentioned in the regulatory directive. |
Viewing regulatory directive information – An overview
In this page you can view the details of the directives issued by the regulatory authorities. Directives are engineering change communications, which relate to critical safety and reliability improvements of the aircraft or its components. Directives are used to address emergency situations (arising out of accidents, incidents etc.) and require mandatory and immediate compliance. Directives which are propagated by the regulatory authorities are referred to as “Airworthiness Directives” (AD) while those originating from the OEMs are described as “Air Operators Telex” (AOT).
