This page allows you to view the components on which the MCR must be executed. Tell me more

The “View Recommended Component Effectivity” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR for which the component effectivity details are displayed.

Revision #

The revision number of the MCR.

Subject

The textual description of the MCR.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs.

Part Identifier

The identifier of the part as defined in the “Create Maintenance Change Request” activity, which could be one of the following:

 
  • Internal – Indicates that the MCR must be executed on the part that is available with the operator and is defined in the "Part Administration" component.

 
  • Supplier – Indicates that the MCR must be executed on the part supplied by the supplier. This part can be new or already defined as an alternate part in the "Part Administration" business component

Part #

Use the drop-down list box to select the part number for which the component effectivity details must be viewed. The system lists all the part numbers that are defined as part effectivity for the MCR in the “Edit Part Effectivity” page

The system displays the following field:

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

The system displays the following fields in the “Component Effectivity” multiline:

From Manufacturer Serial #

The starting serial number in the range of serial numbers of the components for which the MCR is applicable.

To Manufacturer Serial #

The ending serial number in the range of serial numbers of the components for which the MCR is applicable.

Applicability Group #

The number identifying the group to which the set of components on which the MCR must be executed belongs.

Reference Date Basis

The Reference Date basis for the effective from date of the Component which could be “Induction Date”, “Operational Date” or “Manufactured Date”.

Eff. From Date

The date from which the Component is effective.

Note: The “Reference Date Basis’ and ‘Eff. From Date’ fields appear only if the screen is launched for an MCR # whose Eff. From Date is ‘Maint. Obj. Level'.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Viewing component effectivity for the MCR – An overview

View MCR - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to view the components on which the MCR must be executed. You can view the component effectivity details for a specific part number that is defined as part effectivity for the MCR.

On selecting a part, the components on which the MCR must be executed are listed in the multiline as a range of manufacturer serial numbers, identified by their starting and ending numbers along with the applicability group to which the components belong.
