This page is used to record multiple containers and its sizes details in the same shipping note and subsequently to map the container number at Part level, so that while printing the packing list, the details of the Item and the container are printed. Depending on the Shipping Note # in the main page, the system fetches and displays the additional packaging details in the multiline. The primary focus of this activity is described as follows:
To capture the container details against a Shipping note.
To map the created containers against the individual part details in the Shipping Note.
To modify the created container information against the shipping note.
To re-map the modified container information at Part level in the Shipping Note.
Select the “Record Container Details” link in the main page.
The “Record Container Details” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Shipping Document Details” group box:
Shipping Document # |
The number identifying the shipping document. |
Status |
The current status of the shipping note |
Enter the following fields in the “Additional Packaging Details” multiline:
Container # |
The unique code identifying the container in which the goods are shipped. Mandatory. |
Packaging Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of packing that is used to pack the goods. The system loads all the active Packaging Codes defined in the “Logistics Common Master” business component. |
Packaging Dimension |
The dimensions maintained while packaging (Alphanumeric, 20). For example 12X4X8. |
UOM (Dimension) |
Use the drop-down list box to select the UOM (Unit of measurement) for packaging. The system loads all the active UOM codes defined in the “UOM” business component. |
Note: This field is mandatory when a value is entered in “Packaging Dimension”.
Gross Weight |
The gross weight of the pack (Decimal). The value entered must be greater than zero. |
UOM (Gross Wt.) |
Use the drop-down list box to select the UOM (Unit of measurement) for the gross weight. The system loads all the active UOM codes defined in the “UOM” business component. |
Note: This field is mandatory when a value is entered in “Gross Weight”.
Net Weight |
The total weight of the pack (Decimal). The value entered must be greater than zero. |
UOM (Net Wt.) |
Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement for the total weight. The system displays all the active UOM codes defined in the “UOM” business component. |
Note: This field is mandatory when a value is entered in “Net Weight”.
Packaged by Employee |
The ID of the employee who packed the goods. Help facility available. |
Packaging and Handling Terms |
Any packaging/handling terms associated with the pack (Alphanumeric, 80). |
The system displays the following in the “Additional Packaging Details” multiline:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the packaging information. |
Created Date |
The date when the packaging information was created |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the packaging information. |
Last Modified Date |
The date when the packaging information was last modified. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the container related details.
