Create Exchange/Subcontract Issue – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to create an issue document for issue of parts against a purchase order of type “Exchange”,  “PBH Exchange”, "Express" or "General".

Exchange Issue

An exchange issue is created for the return of the parts in “Un Serviceable” condition to the supplier, based on a purchase order document. Purchase orders are created for the procurement of parts. The purchase order is an agreement with the supplier for procurement of materials as per requirement.

The exchange issue is created for the return of core in “Un Serviceable” condition. For issues based on “PBH Exchange PO”, the stock status of the part must be “PBH”. For an issue based on “Exchange PO”, the stock status of the part should be other than “PBH”, “Customer Goods” or “Consignment”.

You can select a purchase order document and issue the parts listed in it. You can create an exchange issue for only those purchase documents, which are of type ”Exchange” (if the purchase order is raised for components whose core should be exchanged) or “PBH Exchange” (if the purchase order is raised for components covered under PBH agreement) and are in “Open” or “Core Due” status.
