Select the “Issue Tools” link under the “Facility Management” business component.
The "Issue Tools" page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Select the following in the “Issue Details” group box.
Holding Tool Crib # |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the holding tool crib for the facility object you want to issue. Mandatory. The system displays the warehouses defined in the Storage Administration business component in 'Active' status with tool operations transactions allowed. If there is only a single value getting listed in the drop-down list box, then the system displays that value by default. Else, the system leaves the field blank by default. |
Issue Purpose |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the intention for issuing the facility object. The system lists “Regular” and “Maint. Internal”. By default, the system displays “Regular” in this field. |
Issue Basis |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the basis for issuing the facility object. The system lists “Returnable” and “Permanent”. By default, the system displays “Returnable” in this field. |
If you know the details of the facility object you want to issue, you can proceed to the multiline and enter the detaills, without using the “Search Criteria”’ group box. The “Search Criteria” group box is intended to find the facility object you want to issue, when you do not have precise information about the facility object.
Enter the any / all the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to find the tool you want to issue for usage / maintenance.
Facility Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of thefacility object. The system lists one of the following values: Tool, Equipment or Others, depending upon on the access rights of the login user. If the login user has access rights to Tool type of facility objects, “Tool” is displayed; “Equipment” is displayed, if the user has access rights to Equipment type of facility objects and “Others” is displayed, if the login user has access rights to Other type of facility objects. |
Facility # |
The identification number of the facility. You can enter the facility number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the facility numbers having the digits entered here. |
Part # |
The number that identifies the part number reference for the facility object. You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the part numbers having the digits entered here. |
Serial # |
The serial number associated with the part. You can enter the serial number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the serial numbers having the digits entered here. |
Facility Object # |
The identification number of the facility object. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the facility object numbers having the characters entered here. |
Part Description |
The name or description of the part. You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the descriptions having the characters entered here. |
Facility Object User Status |
Use the drop-down list to specify the user-defined status of the facility object. The system displays one of the values defined under the quick code type Facility Object User Status in Work Center business component. |
Facility Object Class |
Use the drop-down list to specify the user-defined class of the facility object. The system displays one of the values defined under the quick code type Facility Object Class in Work Center business component. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Select the following in the “Accounting Details” group box.
Account Usage |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the account for the part / facility object. This field is mandatory, when you have selected “Permanent” in the Issue Basis field. |
Costing Usage |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the costing for the part / facility object you want to issue. This field is mandatory, when you have selected “Permanent” in the Issue Basis field. |
The “Search Results” multiline displays the following details of the records matching the specified values in the “Search Criteria” group box.
Facility Object # |
The identification number of the facility object. |
Part # |
The identification number of the part reference for the facility object. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the part. |
Facility Object User Status |
The user-specified status of the facility object. |
Expected Return Date |
The tentative date of return of the facility object after maintenance work. This date is defaulted based on the “Standard Tool Issue Period (days)” value defined in the Set Options activity, |
Expected Return Time |
The tentative time by when the facility object will be returned after maintenance work. This time is defaulted based on the “Standard Tool Issue Period (days)” value defined in Set Options activity. |
The system displays the following details of the specified facility object in the multiline.

Any guidelines for carrying out the maintenance job on the facility object. |
Facility # |
The identification number of the facility. |
Condition |
The condition of the facility object, which indicates whether it can be used in operations. |
Maintenance Due On |
The date when the next maintenance job is to be performed on the facility object. |
Part Description |
The description of the reference part # . |
Location Info. |
The information about the location of the facility object. |
Check the box preceding the record of the facility object you want to issue.
Enter the following in the “Issued To” group box.
Employee # |
The identification number of the employee to whom the facility object is issued. (Alphanumeric, 20). |
Authentication Code |
The identification password of the employee to whom the facility object is issued. (Alphanumeric, 40) |
Issue Date & Time |
The date and time when the facility object was issued (Date format). |
Issued By |
The identification number of the employee who issued the facility object. (Alphanumeric, 30). The system defaults the current login user ID as defined in the “Employee Information” business component. |
Expected Return Date & Time |
The tentative date and time when the facility object will be returned (Date Format). |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the work center where the facility object is to be used for maintenance. The system lists all the work centers defined in the Work Center business component. |

The system displays the description for the selected work center alongside. |
Ref. Doc. Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify type of the document used for reference. The system displays the following values: "Hangar Work Order", "Component Work Order", "Technical Log" and "Others". |

The identification number of the reference document. |
Issue Remarks |
Any comments on the issue transaction. |
Select the “Issue Tools / Fac. Objects” pushbutton.
If the Issue Basis is specified as “Permanent”, the Issue Status for the Facility Object # is set to "Issued - Permanent"; for Issue Basis- “Returnable”, Issue Status becomes "Issued - Regular".
The system automatically prints the material movement document (MMD), when the tools are issued on a “Permanent” basis and the issue document attains the “Fresh” status.
