Selecting part number for viewing usage details

This page allows you to select a part for viewing the usage details. If you know the part number, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the part number, base part number and manufacturer of the aircraft. The details of the selected part such as the part number, description, base part, manufacturer of the aircraft and part configuration status are displayed.

Select the “Where Used Review” link under the “Configuration” business component.

The “Select Part” page appears.

Enter the following field, if you know the part number for which the usage details are to be viewed:

Part #

The part for which the usage details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 40). Ensure that the configuration has already been defined for the part in the “Build Part Configuration” activity.

Select the “View Usage Information” link displayed alongside to view the usage details of the part.
Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a part. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Part #	The part for which the usage details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the part numbers that are similar to the value entered here.
Base Part #	The base part number of the part for which the usage details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the base part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts whose base part numbers are similar to the value entered here.
Manufacturer	The manufacturer of the part (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the name of the manufacturer in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the parts whose manufacturer names are similar to the value entered here.

Note: The system lists all the parts in the multiline if all the search criteria fields are left blank.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Part #	The number identifying the part.
Part Description	The textual description of the part.
Base Part #	The base part number of the part.
Manufacturer	The manufacturer of the part.
Status	The status of the part configuration.

Click the hyperlinked part number in the multiline, to view the part usage details.
