Comparing part configuration revisions

In this page, you can view the changes made to the part configuration and the different entities that are affected by the changes in the configuration. Details such as, the entities affected, the actual value of the affected entities, the action performed on the entity and the actual change that has taken place, are displayed.

Select the “Compare Part Configuration Revisions” link at the bottom of the main page.

The “Compare Part Configuration Revisions” page appears.

The system displays the following details in the “Part Details” group box:

Part #	The part number for which the configuration modification details are displayed. Note
Mfr. Part #/ Mfr. #	The manufacturer part # and manufacturer # of the part for which you wish to view configuration details. Note
New Revision #	The new revision number of the part configuration.
Enter the following field:
Previous Revision #	Use the drop-down list box to select the revision number of the part configuration for which you wish to view the modification details. The system lists all the revision numbers including the baseline revision numbers. If the first configuration is a baseline version then the system includes “0” in the list. By default, the system sets this field to the revision number prior to the current revision number of the part configuration.

Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system displays the following details in the “Modification Details” multiline:

Entity Affected	The entity affected as a result of the changes made to the part configuration. The system displays one of the following:
	Position Code - indicates that the position code status has been modified or a new position code has been added.
	Part # - indicates that the part number has been changed.
Entity Value	The actual position code or part number that has been affected due to the part configuration modification.
Action	The system displays “Modified” or “Added” to indicate whether the position code or the part number has been modified or added.
Change Information	The system displays “Status Changed” or “Association Effected” to indicate the actual change made to the position code or the part number.
