Viewing part configuration information
This page allows you to view the details of the part configuration. Tell me more
Select the “View Part Configuration” link in the “Select Part” page. Alternatively, click the hyperlinked “Part #” in the same page.
The “View Part Configuration” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following details in the “Part Details” group box:
Mfr. Part #/ Mfr. # |
The manufacturer part # and manufacturer # of the part that you elected in the previous page. |
Part # |
The part number for which the configuration details are to be viewed. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Equipment Category |
The category of the equipment that can be attached to the position code in the part. |
Equipment Group |
The equipment group to which the equipment category belongs as defined in the “Maintain Cabin Equipment List” activity of Configuration. |
Base Part # |
The base part number of the part. |
Manufacturer |
The name of the manufacturer of the part. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter to which the part belongs. |
The system displays the following details in the “Part Configuration Details” group box:
Revision # |
The revision number of the part configuration for which the details are displayed. |
Config Status |
The status of the part configuration. |
Enter the following fields in the “Display Filter” group box to search for the child levels of the part configuration:
Position Code |
The position code associated to the part configuration, for which the details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 25). |
Mfr. Part #/ Mfr. # |
The manufacturer part # and manufacturer # of the part .you wish to view configuration details. |
NHA Mfr. Part #/ NHA Mfr. # |
The manufacturer part # and manufacturer # of the parent part or next higher assembly (NHA). |
Part # |
The part number associated to the position code, for which the details must be displayed (Alphanumeric, 40). |
NHA |
The next higher assembly of the part associated with the position code (Alphanumeric, 40). |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter to which the part number belongs (Alphanumeric, 16). |
Display Level |
Use the drop-down list box to select the level code of the part number and position code combination, for which the configuration details must be viewed. The system lists all the levels of the part configuration and sets this field to the first level by default. |
Note: If all the fields are left blank in the “Display Filter” group box, the system displays all the child level configurations of the selected part configuration.
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to display the search results:
The system displays the following details in the “Configuration Details” multiline on clicking the “Get Details” pushbutton:
Level Code |
The level code of the part number and position code in the part configuration hierarchy. |
Position Code |
The position code associated to the part configuration. |
Position Code Status |
The status of the position code, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Part # |
The child part number associated to the position code. |
Mfr. Part # |
The manufacturer part # of the part for which you wish to view configuration details. |
Mfr. # |
The manufacturer # of the part for which you wish to view configuration details. |
Position Type |
The type of the position code, which could be “Engine” or “APU” or “Landing gear” or “Others”. |
Component Mandatory |
The system displays “Yes” or “No” to indicate whether fixing of the component is mandatory or not in the position code. |
RVSM |
The system displays “Yes” or “No” to indicate whether the child part can be used in an aircraft which is equipped for RVSM. |
Cargo |
The system displays “Yes” or “No” to indicate whether the child part can be used in a cargo aircraft. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter associated to the position code. |
Base Part # |
The base part number of the child part. |
Part Description |
The description of the child part. |
Drawing # |
The document number identifying the drawing that depicts the part details. |
File Name |
The file name of the document. |
Lower Level Exists? |
The system displays “Yes” or “No” to indicate whether child level configurations exist with respect to the child part. |
NHA |
The next higher assembly or the parent part |
Revision # |
The revision number of the part configuration. |
Remarks |
The comments or supplementary information regarding the configuration of the part. Note: Clicking the |
Select the “View Maintenance Program for Child Parts” link provided below the multiline to view the part program information for the child parts.
The system displays the following field in the "Document Attachment Details" group box:
File Name |
The file name of the document attached to the part configuration |
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Revised by |
The name of the user who revised the part configuration. |
Revision Date |
The date on which the part configuration was revised. |
Approved by |
The name of the user who approved the part configuration. |
Approved Date |
The date on which the part configuration was approved. |
Source |
The OU that is the source of the part # information. |
Owner |
The OU that is the owner of the part # information. |
Comments |
Any remark pertaining to the changes made in the part configuration. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the position code for viewing the part modification history
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “View Piece Parts List” link at the bottom of the page to view the piece part details of the part configuration.
Select the “View Part Number Modification History” link at the bottom of the page to view the part number modification history for the position code selected in the multiline.
Select the “View Notes” link at the bottom of the page to view the notes entered for the part configuration.
Select the “View Part Program Information” link at the bottom of the page to view the part program details.
Viewing part configuration information – An overview
You can view the details of the part configuration in this page. You are also provided with the option of viewing the details of all the child level configurations of the selected part configuration. You can carry out a search based on the position code, part number, the next higher assembly, ATA chapter number and the level code. The details of the child level configuration such as the level code, position code, position code status, child part number, position code type, RVSM, cargo, zone, ATA chapter number, base part number, part description, drawing number and document path are displayed. You can also view other details such as whether fixing of rotable is mandatory or not in the position code, and whether lower level exists or not for the child level configuration.
