Help on part configuration

This page allows you to retrieve the part configuration details. And you can select the part from which the configuration details are to be copied You can carry out a search based on the part number, base part number, ATA chapter number and description. You can also search for a part by specifying the next higher assembly of the part number, which is otherwise the parent part number, in the search criteria. The details of the selected part, such as the part number, base part, description, ATA chapter, and parent part are displayed.

Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Part #” field in the main screen.

The “Help on Part Configuration” page appears.

Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a part. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Part #	The part for which the configuration details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the part numbers that are similar to the value entered here.
Base Part #	The base part number of the part for which the configuration details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the base part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the parts whose base part numbers are similar to the value entered here.
NHA	The number identifying the parent part, which is otherwise called the next higher assembly (Alphanumeric, 40).
ATA #	The ATA chapter, to which the part for which the configuration details must be retrieved, belongs (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the ATA chapter number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the parts whose ATA chapter numbers are similar to the value entered here.
Part Description	The description of the part for which the configuration details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the part descriptions that are similar to the value entered here.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

Note: The system retrieves the part configurations that are in “Active” status based on the filter criteria entered.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Part #	The number identifying the part.
Base Part #	The base part number of the part.
Part Description	The textual description of the part.
ATA #	The ATA chapter associated to the part.
NHA	The number identifying the parent part number otherwise called as Next Higher Assembly (NHA).

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the part.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
