Entering additional notes for part configuration

This page allows you to record any additional information or notes pertaining to the selected part configuration. The part number, revision number and the status of the part configuration are displayed by the system. You can enter any detail relevant for the part configuration.

Select the “Edit Notes” link at the bottom of the “Build Part Configuration Information” page.

The “Edit Notes” page appears.

The system displays the following in the “Part Details” group box:

Mfr. Part #	The manufacturer part # of the part whose configuration details you are recording or modifying in this activity (Alphanumeric, 40), Mandatory. Ensure that the manufacturer part # is defined in the ”Part Administration” business component and that it exists in “Active” status. Further, the part type of the manufacturing part # must be “Component”. Note Help facility available.
Mfr. #	The number identifying the manufacturer of the part whose configuration details you are recording or modifying in this activity The manufacturer part # and manufacturer # combination must be valid as defined in the Part Administration component. or the position code. Note Help facility available.
Part #	The part selected in the main page for which you wish to enter the notes. Note
Revision #	The revision number of the part configuration.
Config. Status	The status of the part configuration.

Enter the following:

Notes

Any remarks or notes relevant to the part configuration (Alphanumeric, 2000).

Note: Clicking the icon launches the “View Notes” page.

Click the “Edit Notes” pushbutton to update the notes for the part configuration.
