Selecting aircraft model for entering configuration details

This page allows you to select an aircraft model to add or modify its configuration details. Tell me more

Select the “Build Model Configuration” link under the “Configuration” business component.

The “Select Aircraft Model” page appears.

Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for an aircraft model. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Aircraft Model #

The aircraft model for which the configuration details must be entered (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the model number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the aircraft models that are similar to the value entered here.

Configuration Class

The configuration class to which the aircraft model is associated (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the configuration class in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the aircraft models that are associated to the configuration class entered here.

Maint. Operator #

To retrieve aircraft models associated with specific maintenance operator, use the drop-down list box to select the maintenance operator. The drop-down list box displays values based on the process parameter "Allow modification of Configuration for Models mapped to other Maint. Operator codes?” as set under the entity type Aircraft Entry and the entity Aircraft in the Define Process Entities activity of Common Master.

Process Parameter: Allow modification of Configuration for Models mapped to other Maint. Operator codes?
Value	Drop-down list box displays
1 for Allowed	The maintenance operators in the Active status as defined in the Common Master.
0 for Not Allowed	The maintenance operators in the Active status mapped to the planner group associated with the login user.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system fills in the following fields in the “Aircraft Model List” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

Aircraft Model #	The number identifying the aircraft model.
Model Description	The textual description of the aircraft model.
Manufacturer #	The manufacturer of the aircraft.
Configuration Class	The configuration class to which the aircraft model is associated.
Maint. Operator #	The airline model associated with the aircraft model.
Revision #	The revision number of the model configuration.
Config. Status	The status of the model configuration, which could be “Fresh” or “Active”.

Note: If the aircraft model is associated to more than one configuration class, the system displays a multiline row for each combination of model and configuration class.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the multiline row for entering the configuration details.

Note: The configuration details are stored for the model and configuration class combination.

To proceed, carry out the following

Select the “Build Model Configuration” link at the bottom of the page to enter the model configuration details.
Select the “Edit Configuration Rules” link at the bottom of the page to define the rules for the model configuration.

Selecting aircraft model for entering configuration details – An overview

This page allows you to select an aircraft model to add or modify its configuration details. You can carry out a search based on the aircraft model or the configuration class. The details of the selected aircraft model such as its number, description, aircraft make, configuration class associated to the model and the revision number and status of the model configuration are displayed.
