Entering piece part position details for aircraft configuration – An overview
In this page, you can add or modify the position code details for the piece parts identified in the aircraft. The position codes can be created manually or generated by the system. For trackable piece parts, the system generates the position codes using the prefix that you have specified and the suffix as numbers starting from 1. For example, if you have specified the prefix as “BRG” and the quantity of piece parts as “3”, the system generates the position codes BRG01, BRG02 and BRG03. For non-trackable piece parts, you can enter the position codes manually and modify them whenever needed.
You can modify the quantity of the piece part required for the aircraft configuration and add or modify the position codes for the piece parts and also modify the status of the position code.
You can enter the serial number and the lot number of the piece part and the date on which the piece part is attached to the position code in the aircraft configuration. You can specify the default lot number, if all the piece part serial numbers belong to the same lot.
The system updates the details of the position codes for the piece part and stores the name of the currently logged in user and the current server date.
