In this page, you can view the different entities affected by the changes made to the part and component configurations. Tell me more

The “View Affected Entities” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Component Details” group box:

Part #

The part number configuration for which the affected entities information is displayed. In the case of the component configuration, this field contains the part number to which the component belongs.

Component #

The component configuration for which the affected entities information is displayed.

Serial #

The serial number of the component configuration for which the affected entities information is displayed.

Current Revision #

The revision number of the part or component configuration on approval, which is in “Active” status.

New Revision #

The revision number of the part or component configuration which is in “Fresh” status.

The system displays the following fields in the “Affected Entity List” multiline:

Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the aircraft model. In the case of part configuration, this field will contain the aircraft model to which the part number is associated. In the case of component configuration, this field will contain the aircraft model of the aircraft to which the component ID is associated.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft to which the component ID is associated. This field is displayed only for component configuration.

Manufacturer Serial #

The manufacturer of an aircraft gives the MSN or the manufacturer’s serial number at the time of production.

Configuration Class

The configuration class to which the aircraft model or aircraft is associated.

Revision #

The revision number of the configuration. In the case of part configuration, this field will contain the revision number of the model and configuration class combination. In the case of component configuration, this field will contain the revision number of the aircraft configuration to which the component ID is associated.

NHA

The next higher assembly which is otherwise the parent part number of the part or the component.

Note: The system displays the aircraft model number in this field, if the parent for the part configuration is the aircraft model itself. Similarly, the system displays the aircraft registration number in this field, if the parent for the component configuration is the aircraft itself.

Position Code

Viewing affected entities – An overview

Approve Part and Component Configuration - A summary of the activity

In this page, you can view the different entities affected by the changes made to the part and component configurations. If you have approved a part configuration, the system displays all the affected entities of the aircraft model configuration to which the part is associated. If a component configuration is approved, the system displays the affected entities of the aircraft configuration to which the component ID is attached. The details of the affected entities such as the aircraft model, aircraft registration number, manufacturer serial number, configuration class, revision number, the next higher assembly (parent part number) and the position code are displayed.
