Help on Delay
Delays can occur in the arrival and departure of aircraft due to various reasons such as technical failure, unfavorable weather condition and security checks. Each delay reason is identified with a unique code. These delay codes are used to record the delay information of an aircraft.
This Help page allows you to search and select a delay code and transfer the same to the field in which it is required. You can carry out the search using the delay category, number, description and type. The system retrieves all the delay codes, which are in the “Active” status, based on the search criteria entered. The selected delay code is transferred to the required page, when it is confirmed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Delay #” field in the main page.
The “Help on Delay” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the delay code:
Delay Category |
Use the drop down list box to specify the category of the delay code that you need to retrieve. . The combo is loaded with all the user defined values which are in Active status for the quick code type “Delay Category” defined The quick codes are defined in the “Create Flight Log/Occurrence Report Attributes” page in “Common Masters” component. The values are loaded in alphabetical order. |
Delay # |
The number that identifies the delay code you need to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the ‘active’ delay codes that are defined in the “Create Delay Codes” activity, similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to search irrespective of the delay code. |
Delay Description |
The textual description of the delay code that you need to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 80). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the delay codes with description similar to the description entered here. Leave this field blank to search for the delay codes irrespective of the delay code description. |
Delay On |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the delay in arrival and departure. The system lists “Arrival” and “Departure”. The system sets the field blank by default. |
Note:The system displays the Delay records which have been defined in the login OU based on the search criteria specified. Wild card search (*) is allowed.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to search for the delay codes.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered:

The delay code retrieved by the system. |
Delay Description |
The textual description of the delay code. |
Delay On |
Indicates whether the delay of the aircraft is during “Arrival” or “Departure”. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the delay code.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
