Modifying maintenance change request document type
This page allows you to modify the maintenance change request (MCR) document types. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Maint. Change Request Doc. Type” link under the “Common Master” business component.
The “Edit Maintenance Change Request Document Type” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for an MCR document type:
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the MCR document type you need to modify. It can be either “Active” or “Inactive”. The system lists all the MCR document types that are in the status specified in this field. Leave this field blank, if you to wish to retrieve details of all MCR document types irrespective of their status. The system sets the field blank by default. |
Source |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the source of the MCR document type you need to modify as “External” or “Internal”. The system lists all the MCR document types that have the source type specified in this field. Leave this field blank, if you to wish to retrieve details of all MCR document types irrespective of their source. The system sets the field blank by default. |
Note: The system fetches all the records from the “Maintenance Change Request Documents” Master of the login OU when no search criteria are provided. Wild card (*) search is allowed. The system fetches the details and displays in the multiline based on the search criteria provided.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search details in the “Search Results” multiline.

The MCR document type whose details you need to modify |
Enter the following:
Priority |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the default priority number of the MCR document type. The system lists all the active priority numbers listed in the "Create Priority Numbers” of the current component. |
Source |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the source of the MCR document type to either “Internal” or “External”. The system sets the field to “External” by default. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the MCR document type to either “Active” or “Inactive”. The system sets the field to “Active” by default. |
Set the status as “Inactive” if you wish to disable the MCR document type from future reference in other activities. |

Description |
Modify the textual description of the MCR document type (Alphanumeric, 150). The system displays the description of the selected MCR document type by default. |
Applicable For |
Use the drop-down list to specify the applicability of the MCR documents. The combo is loaded with values “MCR”, “Direct Eng.Doc.” and “MCR & Eng. Doc.”. The system displays “MCR & Eng. Doc.” by default on launch of the page. |
MCR Processing Status |
Use the drop-down list to specify the processing status of the MCR document. The combo is loaded with values “Fresh” and "Post Confirmation". The system displays “Post Confirmation” by default on launch of the page. |
Default Eng. Doc Type |
Use the drop-down list to specify the default engineering document type. The combo is loaded with the “Document Types” defined against the “Eng. Doc. Type” in Active status defined in the ‘Configure Document Attributes’ activity of Common Masters component. The combo is also loaded with “Blank” and it is displayed by default on launch of the page. Mandatory if a value is selected in MCR Doc Type column.. |
The system displays the following:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the MCR document type. |
Created Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the MCR document type was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the MCR document type. |
Last Modified Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the MCR document type was last modified. |
Click the “Edit Document Type” pushbutton at the bottom of the page to update the modified MCR document types.
Note: The system updates the modified details of MCR document types and sets the “Last Modified By” field to the login user name and the “Last Modified Date” to the current server date.
