This page allows you to create maintenance change request (MCR) document types. Tell me more

MCR Doc Type

The code that identifies the MCR document type (Alphanumeric, 15). Mandatory.

 Priority

Use the drop-down list box to assign the priority for the MCR document type. Mandatory. Priority indicates the urgency and the importance of the maintenance change. The system lists all the priority descriptions with status “Active” as defined in the “Create Priority Numbers” activity under the current business component.

Use the drop-down list box to specify the source document for the MCR document type as “External” or “Internal”. Mandatory. The system sets the field to “External” by default.

Description

The textual description of the MCR document type (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory.

Applicable For

 Use the drop-down list to specify the applicability of the MCR documents. The combo is loaded with values “MCR”, “Direct Eng.Doc.” and “MCR & Eng. Doc.”. The system displays “MCR & Eng. Doc.” by default on launch of the page.

MCR Processing Status

Use the drop-down list to specify the processing status of the MCR document. The combo is loaded with values “Fresh” and "Post Confirmation". The system displays “Post Confirmation” by default on launch of the page.

Default Eng. Doc Type

Use the drop-down list to specify the default engineering document type. The combo is loaded with the “Document Types” defined against the “Eng. Doc. Type” in Active status defined in the ‘Configure Document Attributes’ activity of Common Masters component. The combo is also loaded with “Blank” and it is displayed by default on launch of the page. Mandatory  if a value is selected in MCR Doc Type column

Note: The system creates the MCR document type and sets the status as “Active”.
