Select the “Create Reference Document Type” link under the Common Master business component.
The “Create Reference Document Type” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Reference Document Type Details” multiline:
Reference Doc Type |
The unique code that identifies the reference document type, such as AMM and CMM (Alphanumeric, 15). Mandatory. Reference documents are common to all units. |
Description |
The textual description of the reference document type (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the area of usage for the reference document. Select one of the options to indicate whether the reference document type is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”. Select “None”, if the reference document type is not applicable for any of these. The system sets the field blank by default. |
Maintained in Library ?
|
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes” if you wish to maintain the reference document in the library. Else, set the field to “No”. The system displays “No” by default. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline if you wish to mark the reference document type for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the reference document types selected in the multiline.
Click the "Create Document Type” pushbutton at the bottom of the page to create the reference document types.
Note: The system creates the reference document types and sets the status as “Active”. The system also sets the “Created by” and “Last Modified by” fields to the name of the logged in user and “Created Date” and “Last Modified Date” fields to the current server date.
