Create Quick Code – A summary of the activity

Quick codes are user-defined values, which are used to categorize or group physical inventory and cycle count plans. The basic quick code types are defined in the system. This activity allows you to define the quick code values for the different quick code types. These values are used in all the other activities of physical inventory and cycle counting.

The quick code types “Plan Category" and "Plan Group" are predefined in the system. You can define the quick code values for each quick code type, by providing a unique identifier and a description for it. For example, the quick code type “Plan Category” can contain quick codes such as “High Value Parts”, ”Medium Value Parts”, ”Low Value Parts” and so on.

The system assigns the "Active" status as soon as the quick code is created and stores the name of the login user and the current server date as the created date.
